Great Blocks with one Caveat
Posted 2/1/2010 by Helen Harris

Rating:

My twin daughters love the blocks although at this point they are mostly building towers with them rather than building the city. My one big disappointment is that many of the blocks are painted only on one side. That doesn't make any sense to me!

I purchased the blocks as a gift for two boys (2 & 4). They love them. The quality is excellent.

This town block set is not only durable and well-crafted, it is visually appealing and aids the creative impulses of my 4-year-old son.

My 2 1/2 year old loves all the little buildings and cars. Great toy that I would definitely recommend.

Exactly what I expected. My grandson took to it immediately and added many of his own toys to make it realistic. The ability to build different towns kept him interested.

Great blocks for imaginative kids
Posted 12/1/2009 by Kara Miller

Rating:

I added this to a set of standard Melissa & Doug wooden unit blocks, and my kids love them. They played with the plain unit blocks a ton before, but since I have gotten them this fun set to go with it, I have found them using them in new imaginative ways. It has made them think of many new things to make and build out of the two sets. They have all the quality you would expect from a Melissa and Doug set.

Thanks A Lotta....

Setting: Counseling Sector

The blocks are easy to manage and provide ample opportunities for building creativity. I use play therapy as a counseling modality and the size of these items make them a great tool for my office. I have used them primarily in the sand tray and the clean up is quick and that's a big help in terms of time.

He was totally psyched!

My 3-year old nephew was super psyched when he opened the box of signs and shrubs and pieces to go with his favorite toys, his cars. I like the construction of the pieces—good graphics, smooth edges, and sturdy materials. They were put into immediate use on Christmas afternoon.
