Fun, Great Quality Puzzle

This toy has quickly become one of my 18 month old sons' favorites! He plays with it everday. He is learning the names of all kinds of trucks and cars - and loves to point out the fire truck and the yellow school bus. Each puzzle piece is thick and easy to grasp. It is high quality and very colorful. Overall a great puzzle for a toddler.

This is a great first puzzle--the pieces are easy for little fingers to manipulate and the bright, charming style of the images have built-in interest for boys and girls. All the Melissa & Doug Chunky Puzzles are great--we have several for the patrons in our public library to play with, and they are very popular and sturdy. We usually buy two, so we can switch in replacement pieces--probably not such an issues at home! An additional bonus--since the pieces can stand up alone, and have no knobs, kids play with them as vehicles, figures or tools. (In, fact, we had to send the hammer from Chunky Tools "on vacation"-- kids were making too much noise hammering the table with it!)

My son (22 months) and his little cousin (11 months) LOVE this puzzle. My son is able to dump it out and put it back together over and over, and he likes to sleep with the schoolbus! The baby loves to handle the pieces and "chew" on them (he's teething.) Nice to know that this company tests all of their products from China, too -- nice peace of mind! GREAT product!

I got this puzzle for my 20 month old son. He loves airplanes, trains, and firetrucks, so this has been his very favorite thing to play with. He loves to take the pieces out, say their name, and then put them back in place. It really captures his attention. The pieces are also fun for him to play with just as blocks.

I bought this puzzle for my 2.5 year old twins after they played with it at our neighborhood library. They love using it as a puzzle and playing imaginary games with the pieces outside of the board. A great gift for a 1 or 2 year old!
Great Toddler Puzzle

My family loves all Melissa and Doug products, but especially the Chunky Puzzles. We have lots of different chunky puzzles (zoo animals, ocean creatures, etc.) and they are a perfect gift for a 1 or 2 year old. My 3 year old also still enjoys playing with these puzzles. The pieces are large , so little fingers can pick them up easily and they are good for chewing, too. The pictures are bright and easy to identify. We often give these as gifts.
Great puzzles - Even For Infants

Loved the bright colors. A very simple and safe toy, even for my 9 month old son. He hasn't mastered the puzzle skills, but likes to bang the puzzle pieces and dump the puzzle upside down to play with all the pieces.

My just turned 2 year old son loves things that "go" and this puzzle is great for him. He can do it independently, but it's not super easy for him either.

We love the chunky puzzles. My son who is 20 months old spends hours playing with them. The colors are bright, and the shapes are easy to handle in his tiny hands. As a Mom and a teacher, these are the best puzzles I have seen. We not only use the pieces for the puzzle, but also for imaginative play.

My niece loves these chunky puzzles. They are not only educational, but fun as well. I highly recommend all Melissa & Doug chunky puzzles.

We purchased this puzzle for our 20 month old son who has not shown any interest in puzzles. He was so enthusiastic with this one, he could hardly wait for the packaging to be removed. He immediately dumped out all the pieces to the puzzle and put them all back without requiring assistance. He loves the wooden pieces and even uses them in imaginary play on his play table.

My grandson was very happy with the puzzle. I had some concerns about some of the smaller pieces being a choking hazard. He is 14 months old and was really more interested in taking some of the pieces out and pretending they were cars and trucks going across the floor.
Good for Travel

I purchased this toy for our son's (15 months) first plane trip as I did not want anything that made noise, lit up, etc. My son loves to take the vehicles off the board and pretend to move them around like little cars and makes sound effects. It was easy to travel with and entertained him when we needed it to. It's also fun to explain each type of vehicle to him. I'm not sure he quite realizes it's a puzzle yet, but that's good because his interest in the toy will grow as he does.
