Hope Interest Grows With Time
Posted 5/5/2008

Rating:

My triplets are ten months old and they seem only mildly interested in this toy. They are a little behind in their development because they were preemies, and I don't think they've really figured out yet the movement and puzzle qualities of the toy. So far they will chew on it and sort of play with it, but it's not a favorite by any means. I am hoping their interest grows as they realize the interactive qualities. The construction and quality of the toy is fantastic. I bought it hoping that I could use it for quite some time as my babies become toddlers. I am hopeful that this someday becomes more of a hot item, but so far their interest in it is only so so.

Product review of Wiggling Worm Grasping toy

My eight month old has not shown much interest in this toy. I think that it's a little wide for him to mouth it comfortably, and it's hard for him to hold. I am hopeful that when he gets a little older he will enjoy it more.

A Fun Wooden Toy For Baby
Posted 1/2/2008 by A Massachusetts Mom

Rating:

We bought this after my 8-month-old enjoyed playing with it at a friend's house. At this point, her usage of the toy is mostly limited to putting it in her mouth, but as she gets older I think she will really appreciate how you can rotate all the parts of the toy to put it into an amazing number of different positions older kids and parents certainly seem to have fun with this! The toy is well-constructed of solid wood and is painted two contrasting bright green colors. I will definitely consider giving it as a baby gift in the future.

Heirloom Quality, Fun Little Worm

I have always been impressed with the quality of Melissa and Doug toys. This little caterpillar is no exception. It is better suited for a 9 to 10 month old or older who has good hand coordination. It evokes problem solving and curiosity. I expect this toy to last for years to come.

Awesome Toy!

We received this product as a gift and lost it on vacation. We loved it so much we had to order another. For some reason all the adults that come over to visit seem to end up playing with this toy.

Big, But Cute

It is a great product. I ordered it for my 3 month old. The toy is still too big for her to grasp and really pick up. It truly is more for a 6 month old (like the packaging says). My baby loves to look at the colors on it. Since it's made of beechwood, she likes the feel of it. I can't wait for her to really be able to use it! The only thing I can say negative is that it is much larger than I envisioned it to be.
