I love these dolls. First set is about 8 years old and still going strong. The only reason we purchased more is because we've added 5 more girls to the family. They play with them at least once EVERY Day.

I bought this family to replace an old plastic dollhouse family from my childhood. They've been a huge hit with my two year old and a my six year old likes them a lot. The two year old has named all the dolls (this is a big family -- three kids, two parents, two grandparents) and carries them around the house talking to herself and them. She's particularly interested in the "tiny baby" as she calls it. I've often tried to buy something for a long car or airplane trip to unwrap on takeoff, and this would have been perfect. The dolls have big feet, so they stand up. I've already removed marker from the face of one -- I have hope they will weather the years better than my dolls did.

These are sturdy, basic dollhouse dolls. I wish that Melissa and Doug would integrate dollhouse family sets to create bi-racial families, and maybe even other non-traditional families. However, these are great toys. My daughter adores the baby especially.

We bought this toy for our 5 year old nephew for Christmas. He was receiving a toy fire station, and I wanted him to have a family that could "visit". Although he initially balked at seeing he was getting dolls for Christmas, once they were out of the package he immediately started playing with them. The firemen have been rescuing the family all morning.

The dolls were too big for the veterinary hospital doll house. All doll houses come with cute furniture but dolls to me are unsized or oversized. I am 69 years old. When I was young I had a doll family that was the best -totally plastic with movable joints worked perfectly. I saw a few in an antique store years ago before my children were born. Wish I had bought them but felt the way the miniatures were being made for adults and children for dollhouse fans I assumed that the dolls for them would be great...

This is a part of a Christmas gift for twin 3yr olds. I think they will love it and the castle that I purchased previously.

The dolls are very well made, except that you have to move the legs a bit to get them to stand up. Some were uneven. But after looking at ToyRUs and other stores, it was very difficult to find a family of dolls. Nearly non existent. So thanks for having them. My 4 year old granddaughter loves them in her three story doll house.
