These crayons work well with the placemats by Melissa & Doug. I wasn't very happy with the ones that we received. The blue one had a slight blue tint, but actually writes white- which does not show up on the placemats. It also came with 2 yellows. The green plastic cover had a yellow crayon in it. I think we just got a bad pack. Other than what I stated, the others work well.

On the bright side, you'll be tickled pink over Melissa & Doug's product quality guarantee. We contacted our customer with information to receive a replacement for the defective coloring set.)

The mat crayons are great. They are easy for the children to hold
and the colors are bright and bold which the kids is appealing to the kids. And best of all--they don't leave marks on furniture or
clothing.

THis is a very good tool to use with a mat to help my kids learn about the states while on break from school - way to go, Fat Brain!

The crayons work well on the surface they are intended for, and they wipe up easily as per the instructions. I like that each crayon has a plastic cover.

I use these crayons with the Playmat for writing and handwriting. The preschoolers use it to practice their alphabet. They enjoy the different colors, and I enjoy how easy it is to clean! The only prob is, they're very soft so a more aggressive child uses them up very quickly and can mangle them if they take the crayon out of the handy holder.

Crayons are great for coloring the Melissa and Doug place mats. My kids love to color their mats while they wait for their lunch or dinner to be served. Crayons wash off mat with soap and water.
