Great for Kids Who Love Mysteries
Posted 10/8/2007 by Cate Elsten

Rating:

My 8-year-old is a mystery fiend and absolutely loves the Bella decks. Each deck card is a self-contained story; the solution is provided, backwards, at the end and can be read with an enclosed mirror (in itself an attraction at this age.) Some of the mysteries can be solved with the clues provided, while others require some knowledge of natural history, science, etc. The cards encouraged my daughter to stretch her reading skills and were great fun for travel, restaurants, etc.

Bella Is Great!

I ordered this product because the mysteries are similar to worksheets used in my son's gifted class at school. Having these at home helps us reinforce his critical thinking skills, and gives a good activity for those times when he needs something other than TV or videos! They are also great to take on road trips in the car or airplane.

She has loved these mystery cards and the backwards mirror required to decipher the answer was also a big hit.

I bought this for my Grandkids for Christmas, but had to try it out first. I thought it was very fun and will keep them interested following the mystery.

It was very fun and age appropriate for a third grader. Just enough thought required to make it challenging but not impossible to solve.

My 7 year old loves these! Usually she hates to do anything "educational" for fun, but she can't put them down!

This game is a fun way to develop a range of skills in the areas of logic, reasoning, memory, and comprehension. Plus it's transportable, which makes it a great take along surprise for trips.

Short But Sweet

My son really enjoyed his new Mystery Deck. The mysteries were interesting. He reads so quickly, however, he was done with all of them within about 3 hours! It was like having a short mystery novel for him to read. I should have given them out little by little!
