This is such a great concept. My one problem with it has to do with the lighter wood tone - the wood seems to have absorbed the stain differently in different places, so instead of one uniform light wood tone, you have numerous darker patches. This disrupts the overall appearance of the patterns being created. Perhaps this has to do with the grain of the wood and cannot be helped.
