The Nyokki-Monkey is very cute, colorful, and solidly made. I bought it for my friend, who always kills his plants. He managed to enjoy it, so everybody can :D

These are very cute items that we are also going to give out as gifts. My 7 year old daughter is having fun watering it each day, waiting for it to sprout, and trimming and styling the "hair".
I like this toy because it teaches about living things, as well as taking care of something every day, and gives some creative outlet. It is fun seeing it each day and talking with my daughter about the latest hairstyle.

This was sent to me in afghanistan to brighten up a depressing place. I smile evertime I see it. And since there is no grass here it smells like summer at home when we trimm the grass!

This tiny little egg-shaped pot isn't much for size, but it's 'hair' sprouts and grows at an alarmingly fast rate, which is excellent for my impatient 4-year-old. The Nyokki was the perfect gift in my daughter's Easter basket since it's small and spring-like. I was worried my daughter over-watered her Nyokki from the start, but the thing thrived in just a day or two. She's already given it a couple haircuts! Very cute and a good starter for your little gardener :)

My 9yo son loves his pet, Nyokki. He's Autistic and not responsible enough yet for a real pet, but loves cats, the color yellow, and loves his "sticky-up hair." It was easy enough for him to grow and he continues to take care of it. He enjoys having something that has "sticky-up hair" just like him :)

This is a good learning experience for young children. It allows them to observe a microcosm of nature up close. It is also a pleasant addition to the Bay Window in our Kitchen. It doesn't hurt to remind an adult of how things come into being. My only reservation is that the product is probably somewhat over-priced.

My Nyokki monkey always puts a smile on the face of those who look upon him, because he is unique, fun, and full of whimsy. Great gifts for children and adults. Will teach a child responsiblity to care for a Nyokki pet and will brighten up the space of a colleague at work. I love my monkey and plan on getting more friends to keep him company!

It took about 1 week for the grass to start growing, but once it did, it grew fast. My 3 yr old is really excited about this. Very cute spring decoration. Was a perfect addition to the Easter basket.

I bought two of these as gifts. I like the idea that they're fun but not just another toy for kids who already have everything. Plus they can't just be lost in a toybox as soon as they're opened since they do take a bit of adult supervision and monitoring while they grow. They were really cute and brightly colored just as the picture shows. The only negative was that they were smaller than I expected. They were about the size of a real egg. I would buy them again and probably will for my own children in a few months when they are old enough to understand them.

Like the other reviewers, I felt that it could be bigger but I knew what to expect from the online description. Initially I had doubts about whether it would grow but after about 4 days of watering it the shoots suddenly sprouted. From there on out it continued to grow rapidly much to the delight of my little one.

I bought the Nyokki Monkeys for my children (ages 6 and 3). They both absolutely love them. They come in great packaging and are easy to get started. We had grass growing within a few days! In addition to being cute, they provide a great learning opportunity for the kids too.

I ordered two of these for my nephews for Easter. They have enjoyed watching the grass grow and made a competition out of it to see who's grew the fastest. This was a great alternative to giving an Easter basket with candy in it.

Very disappointing. I got this for my 6 year old granddaughter who is visiting us from London for 2.5 weeks. We started the Nyokki Monkey the first day, in hopes it would "grow" as indicated (germinate in a day or two and be growing "hair" within the time she would be here). So far, after 10 days, nothing is happening. I would not purchase this product again, and would not recommend it to anyone.

These are the perfect gift for someone you want to give a creative gift. They are whimsical little animals that grow grass out of their heads. I gave them to my children's teachers. Cute to have around your house too!

I ordered about 6 to 7 of the Nyokki's one of each of the available figures except the pig. They are really cute and my toddler daughter wanted to open one right away. However they are christmas gifts, so we have not yet tried one.

We had a great time growing the grass. It didn't last as long as we would have liked, but it's a perfect for propagating small plants like herbs. It's a great tool to show our 2 year old about growing plants and it is soo cute.

The Nyokki frog is so cute and easy to get started! The ceramic is a lot more durable than I had expected. After just two days, it looks like some sprouts are pushing through. We can't wait for the grass to grow! It is an adorable addition to our windowsill.

Product grows nicely, and is cute. It would be satisfying to have a bigger size option, so it could be used for table decor for a baby shower, Easter party, or whatever. Well-packaged, still several arrived out of their tubes. They were undamaged, however.

Still waiting to see if the "hair" ends up growing, so I can't really comment fully on my satisfaction with the product. So far, nothing is happening (and it's been a few days now) and I'm growing a little doubtful that it will.

I am sure that the dimensions were listed, but I was expecting a much larger product than what I received. The product is really small. (It fits in the palm of hand with lots of room to spare.) I would much rather have spent my money on something larger like a chia pet.
