This is an awsome game. So easy and so much fun. My 8 year old learned the game in minutes. It teaches my child about the states and capitals while having fun!

Great For All Ages
Posted 5/29/2008 by David Krouk

Rating:

Simplistic. Yet, it allows 6 to 8 year olds to master creative thinking, planning and strategy. Even my 4 year old enjoyed the game. Although, at this age, she needed a parent's aide.

I bought this game based solely on the description I read online. I was not at all disappointed. The game is very easy to learn. A lot of fun to play. I have played 5 or 6 games already with various friends. All of us enjoyed it very much. Definitely happy that I purchased this!

Review for 10 Days in USA
Posted 1/30/2008 by John Steinbach

Rating:

The game is fun and challenging enough for adults but not too difficult for the kids -- a good family game (probably 8 years old+). Also geographically educational. The physical game itself is well made and appears to be durable enough for years of enjoyment. Will probably try the 10 Days In Europe game next.

Great Educational Game
Posted 12/13/2007 by William Buppert

Rating:

We bought this because we had played the game before with friends and since we are homeschoolers, we love that it's fun and on top of that, educational. The kids are learning their geography skills and don't even know it. The game is slow, so it's not fun for little kids, but a 10 year old with patience can play. It takes some thinking to play it well, but it's totally worth it.

Our son received the game for his 11th birthday and we figured it out quickly. We have played over six games so far. Very fun and very educational too! We can't wait to play the 10 Days in Europe game he recieved from his grandparents.

I teach high school geography and have been using 10 days in Africa to help students learn the continent of Africa. I picked up the 10 days in USA game to do the same. It's not too complicated, but still an inventive way to review geography.

Lots of fun. Helpful in learning location of the states. You have to think, but nothing too challenging, which results in a good time.

This game is strangely addictive. It's one of the best two-player games my wife and I have found, and although it's very simple - you can be playing a few minutes after opening the box and it doesn't seem to get old at all. Each time you play it's a different challenge; each time we play we say "just one more game". Highly recommended.

Best Geography Game Yet!
Posted 8/23/2007 by Amber W.

Rating:

This is the 3rd game our family has purchased to help reinforce United States geography and it is the best one yet! It is fun, educational and involves an element of strategy which requires players to try and plan ahead a bit! I really like that aspect of the game. The two other games we have fall under the, "Trivia" or "Bingo" category and haven't been met with the enthusiasm that 10 Days in the USA was. This game is a great resource to reinforce curriculum for homeschooling families and the classroom teacher alike.

My rating of 10 Days in USA
Posted 2/26/2007 by Family Gamer

Rating:

Our family plays lots of games, including many sophisticated European games. We have enjoyed this game. It has good strategy, a different play mechanism than all our other games, and doesn't last too long. And as a bonus, it gives us a chance to learn geography in a fun way. It isn't our most favorite or fun game, but we play it regularly.

10 Days in the USA is an awesome game! It helps children learn the location of the states while providing them with the opportunity to use logical thinking to plan a trip. My 10 year old loves it, as do any adults I've played it with. It is a little challenging for my 6 year old to put an entire trip together on his own... so we will sometimes team up with him to help. It is still fun. I've tried 10 Days in Africa, too, and hope to try 10 Days in Europe soon.

This game is fantastic for teaching the US states. My 6 year old had it figured out in no time! And, we had such fun in the process. I'm thrilled that an Asia version will be out soon!

Rating:

This is a wonderful game! It appeals to my 8 year old son, my 12 year old son, to my 22 year old neighbor, to my 47 year old husband! The game is handsomely made, with wooden card holders and thick cardboard tiles for the countries. The object is to be the first person to build a path of 10 contiguous country tiles. There are airplane and car tiles to help. The game board is a beautiful reference tool in this game, basically, as you don't actually play on the board. I've played the companion games, 10 Days in Europe and 10 Days in Africa, and the Africa one is the best, as it contains critical duplicate country cards. In the USA version there are no duplicate state cards; once buried in the discard pile, they are gone. This makes the US version the most challenging/frustrating of these games. The African map also has asterisks marking those countries with duplicate tiles, unlike the European game, which doesn't. I plan on getting the Asian version as soon as it is available. As a homeschooling mother, I bought this game both because it is FUN, and because I figured we'd sneak in some knowledge of geography along the way. I'd highly recommend both this game and the other versions.

This game is fun for folks of all ages. We played it with my 84 year young father and our 11 year old twin grandchildren. Everyone truly enjoyed playing and the twins kept asking if we could play just one more time.
