My kids love playing dress up and are into pirates these days. The fit of these hats is really strange. The internal band that adjusts does not fit inside the hat itself when adjusted to anything other than the smallest fittings. My boys are 1 & 3, so they are hardly too big for the hat! It's odd and a little disappointing. I appreciate the sturdiness of the hats and am hoping they will wear them anyway, even if the fit doesn't work very well.

The hat itself is okay, but the problem is with adjustable strap. When you attempt to make it smaller to fit, the strap bunches up instead of being flat around inside of the hat after adjustment.
