It is much harder than the regular perplexus, the kids all love it, they have not mastered it in the least bit. My kids from 5-13 play with it and so does my husband. Eventhough it is hard, the kids love to play with it because it is very challenging.

To say that Perplexus is a "toy" is certainly the wrong description. Originally I bought Perplexus for my grandchildren, ages6-12. Once the parents started playing, they were hooked. I had to buy another Perplexus so that kids and adults would have equal time. It looks so easy..... The competition between kids and adults was intense. A great way to spend cold winter days.

My son loved the first one and after everyone in the house (except me) 'mastered' it we gave it as a much loved birthday gift. Now he's (11) on the Epic and its very challenging, but with time and patience he's slowly gaining numbers. We love this toy- though I won't touch it, as managing my life is hard enough.

This is a great follow up to the original Perplexus. My whole family 5-35+ cannot stop trying this. We also purchased the Rookie this year and all three complement each other nicely. The mazes are set up so that you can feel successful, yet challenged EVERY time you play. We even have mini family celebrations when someone "finishes" because they are that tough, yet fun for all. I will be giving them out as gifts for sure!

I already owned other similar products from some other copycat brands and the Perplexus Rookie as well, therefore I am used to handling this type of toy for grown-ups. This product is actually looking much better than average. It is extremely appealing with its blue, grey and white color elements. It looks well-built and solid, even if the transparent globe sides parts are only glued to each other. This 3-D game requires dexterity, patience and anticipation and offers a great variety of challenges, some of which are just... wow, amazing! (The tunnel, the seesaw, the stairs...) Once started, this cannot be put back, it is hours of fun guaranteed and an easy way to train hand-eye coordination. I love it!

I bought two of these for my twin 38-year-old nephews' birthday. I played with it when it came which was difficult because it was still in the box. Everybody at the birthday party played with it and did not want to put it down. They were already competing for the highest level reached. Its popularity prompted my sister to order one for our great-nephew, the son of one of the recipients. I was very pleased with my choice.

For a kid who loved, but had already mastered the original Perplexus, this was a natural "upgrade"... Definitely more challenging, this takes a tried and true toy and takes it to the next level. My son picks it up to play with frequently, either in between other activities or when he's waiting to leave to go somewhere. Can play with it for 5 minutes, or for 30. And I love that it's not electronic or screen-based!

When I purchased this item for my 5 year old boy, my wife was very skeptical and wondered if it would frustrate him. It has done nothing but intrigued him. He constantly brings it to me and asks me to work it with him and see how far we can get. I love playing with this as it is very challenging and my son loves to play with it with me! He now wants the other versions, since the epic is so challenging!

My now 8 year old had already mastered the regular Perplexus, so he was excited to try this one. It is definitely more challenging, and I think will take him longer to master. We bring this to restaurants or any other place where the kids need to be seated and quiet.

I got this for one of my nephews for Christmas, and though he had other toys to play with an only got to it 'frequently', I became quickly addicted to trying to complete it. Really amazing design and construction. Huge kudos to whoever created it.

It's been almost a month since my 8-year-old's birthday, and he and his 6-year-old brother still play with this toy every day. It's great that something can compete with the electronics for their attention. It's is the best toy I've bought in ages; my husband and I play with it too when we can get a turn.

It's a great product, but the Epic version is A LOT more challenging than the original Perplexus. The box says "Ages 8 and up," but my 8 year old boy has struggled getting very far through the maze. When he got the original last year he wouldn't put it down and loved it. With the Epic, he gets discouraged after a while and moves onto something else.

We looked for the Perplexus Epic locally and realized that it was not available. When I realized that Fat Brain Toys had it in stock, our almost 8-year-old could only focus on "how long is it going to take to get here." It arrived in record time - 4 business days standard shipping. Our son loves it and has spent many hours working to achieve the next milestone. It is a challenging game that is difficult to put down. The adults in the house are also rather intrigued by the game. Excellent game for problem-solving and patience.

My 9 year old happens to be incredibly adept at puzzle solving. She'd mastered Perplexus within a day or two. After a week, she's still trying to complete an entire course of Perplexus Epic so I know it's got to be challenging. She did not get her puzzle-solving dexterity from me and so I cannot comment on the level of difficulty. However, I can say that the quality of the globe material is inferior to either the original Perplexus or Perplexus Rookie. It's holding together, though, and it's taken a lot of playing so it must be durable enough.

I bought this for my 12 year old niece and she loves it. Actually everyone was loving it. Her sister (15) and her were working together (a first) to see how far they could get. I really like how it is numbered along the way so you can say "I can't get past number 8" or "I got up to 25! Grandpa wanted to steal it. I want to steal it (I actually tried to play it in the box before I gave it away, but the box surrounding half the globe made it kind of difficult).

I purchased this for my grandson who last weekend completed the Original Perplexus. I bought this for my home when the grandchildren come over to visit me. From what I have seen playing Perplexus myself, I am going to send it back to you. The ball continues to fall off time after time and who wants to stick with that? I don't mind the challenge but a ball falling off the path is not challenging at all. It's frustrating and not any kind of fun. Sorry.

We bought this for my son, who is 11. We have the Original Perplexus and when we saw that they had come out with an Epic version, he was set on getting this for Christmas! He won't put it down! He hasn't conquered it yet (we've only had it a month), but it's so fun to watch him get excited when he gets past his previous spot. I recommend all Perplexus products! Even after conquering the maze, you go back for more. We also have Perplexus Rookie for our 4 year old. He won't put that down either. This is a toy that will get minds working from 4 year olds up to 60+ year olds! My husband is an engineer and won't put this down. Grandpa comes to visit and he won't put it down. It's certainly fun for the whole family. You don't want shaky hands when you play with this!

I picked this up for my son's 6th birthday knowing full well that it was going to be exceptionally difficult for him, but also knowing that he enjoys a challenge and that exercising his brain and motor skills is always a good thing. I wondered whether or not it would be SO difficult that he would just be completely frustrated and not use it, but that hasn't been the case at all. I think what makes Perplexus - Epic hold his interest is that if/when he gets frustrated with on area of the puzzle, he doesn't have to stay frustrated because he's stuck, but can move the marble to one of the practice zones and work on that area of the ball. Of course his mom and I also enjoying playing with it, and it is definitely addicting, and difficult. All in all, I'm really happy with it, and don't have a single complaint.

I bought the Perplexus-Epic for myself as a stress reliever at work, but I can't get it away from my husband. It's challenging, but very enjoyable to maneuver and see who can make it the farthest. We've had it for a few weeks now and neither one of us has come close to conquering it.

I purchased this for my 9yr old son for Christmas and i think i am enjoying it more than he is. It is quite challenging! He gets frustrated when he "falls off track" and has to start all over again...then puts it down. His friends likes playing with it when they come over. Overall I woudl give this a 5 star rating becuase it is a toy he can grow into and everyone gets a good challeng. It is durable and shipping was on time.

This was recieved after having the Original for a while. It is MUCH more challenging, and thus will take much longer to get through. So far, no complaints here. I haven't gotten through half of it yet though. There is a spot early onj where it looks natural and is easy to jump ahead about 85 moves to skip half the game. It's a bit wierd, but I guess it's all part of the fun. The ridges along the outside edge are a bit harder to grasp then the Original. Also, it's not nearly as colorful, but again, it's all part of the game. It's almost a bit too challenging - is this entire thing possible?

Initially my 10 year old son WOULD NOT PUT THIS DOWN. Not even to open another present. Now he plays with it extremely frequently. I have 3 boys, and this particular one happens to be gifted and loves the challenge. I love anything that doesn't involve a computer 24/7! And, oh, I don't think one needs to be gifted to have a blast with this. I would buy this for the next ten birthday presents for his friends if I could get away with it! It is designed to keep him engaged for a decent part of his future-Longevity! And it's made we'll, can be passed down to other brothers. I'm sure the adults would enjoy given the opportunity.

This toy was a Christmas present for my grandson. It was a big hit not only for him but for the whole family. Ages ranging from 6 to 52.

All of the adult males loved this. I bought it for the 27 year old but the 31 and 32 year old couldn't put it down either and the competition level among the three rose exponentially. Should have purchased one of these for each.

This is a great toy! Best of all, it takes no batteries, like most modern toys! It reminds me of the small maze toys I had as a kid, except this takes it to a whole new level.

I couldn't wait until Christmas to play this magnet game so I bought one for my classroom. Two games are wrapped and waiting for Christmas. The other game is in high demand during my seventh-graders' homeroom time. The game accommodates four players easily with just as many friends cheering them on. I would like to have several more of the games.
