I wasn't sure my 2-year-old granddaughter could master the swivel motion to make the car move, but she was a natural on the first try! Now if only her 4-year-old brother would let her have a turn... I'll probably have to order another one at Christmas.

After reading reviews and seeing a bit on the Discovery Channel about PlasmaCars, I got one for my 2 year old. It looks very cool, like something from a Dr. Seuss book - in fact, when my son saw it he called it a helicopter. There are 2 main problems with the PlasmaCar. After putting it together and taking a dozen or so loops inside the house, I noticed that the last page of the instructions said it may damage wood floors. It should say that it will damage wood floors because there are about a dozen grooves in our floor now. And it really does need a very flat surface - any incline and you have to push. It rolls very smoothly, so taking it down hills is a blast, but plan on pulling back up. Pros: Very cool looking, Rolls smoothly Steers well, Easy to put together, Holds an adult relatively comfortably Cons: Will damage wood floors, Needs very flat surfaces. All together its a great toy, but you need a very hard, very flat surface to fully enjoy the PlasmaCar. I only give the PlasmaCar 3 stars because the warning about the wood floors is buried at the back of the manual, rather than up front, which would have saved me the damage to my floors.

I purchased 8 plasma cars for my daycare and grandchildren and they are a hit and a half!!! They are easy to assemble and so fun for the kids. The younger ones who don't know how to pedal take right off on these unique cars!

I have three kids ages 10,8,3 and all of them have a plasma car which they enjoy. All of them ride it in the basement in the winter. I even have taken a spin on it. This car is cool and I would HIGHLY recommend it to ANY AGE big or small. My 3 year old has NO problem driving it by himself.

These are the coolest gift Ive found yet! We bought them for x-mas for the kids. WHen we got them, we waited for the kids to go to sleep, put them together and had to do a test run for ourselves. Oh my goodness we had a blast. We've been married almost 8 years and I can honestly say that I havnt had that much fun in a very long time. Definatley worth the price. I cant wait to see how much my children enjoy them on X-mas day.

I didn't think the plasma car worked as advertised. Maybe if you have access to a smooth, flat surface such as a gym this would be a lot of fun, but mostly it was disappointing to me and my 4 year old. He'll ride about anything though, and he did a lot of pushing it around using his feet. He also really enjoyed "riding" it on downhill stretches, but the side to side manuvering was difficult for him to gain any momentum. Seemed like he was constantly getting stuck on sidewalk cracks or on uphill stretches or in leaves, etc. It worked ok inside on our tile/ hardwood flooring, but I felt like he needed more room to get the thing going. Once outside, however, there just never seemed to be an ideal spot to get the car going. And in our experience, you needed an ideal spot. I don't think I would recommend this product.

It is a fun little car. I'm not sure how well the wheels will hold up outside but we will soon find out. Note: Don't let an adult ride it on your hardwood floors. I tested it inside and it was a lot of fun but it left grooves all over our hardwood floors. The wheels are plastic and I don't think they will last long outside but I don't know that for sure. Car would work best on a smooth concrete surface. The wheel loosened after only a week and the car won't work correctly if the wheel is not tight.

I have purchased these as gifts, so they have not yet been used by our grandchildren. However, we felt a bit insecure about putting them together...The back wheels on each went on, but were at different angles. We are sure we did this correctly, but one seemed to tip backwards easily. How tight is tight for the handlebars? Perhaps more instructive photos would help.

My son has quite a lot of toys & does the typical kid thing: loses interest in most of his toys after a few days, but not the plasma car! My Mother purchased one for him on his third birthday, he is now 4 1/2, not a day goes by were his isn't zooming around on his plasma car! We kept ours in the house, which has wooden floors. I haven't noticed any damage from them this far on my floors! My 19 month old son now also took to it, he'd get on it any time he could, which caused some problems! We then purchased a second plasma car, they are both hving quite a blast with them! The first one we got was the red one & the second was the yellow, they are both very nice colors! If you want to purchase a toy for your child they could totally enjoy, you can't go wrong here!

I ordered the plasma car for our 4 year old grandson's birthday. He adores the car. This is probably the best gift I have ever given him. His 8 year old brother loves it too, so I will have no problem thinking of a gift for his 9th birthday.

The Plasmacar was purchased for my 9 year old daughter. It does well on tile and hardwood floors as well as in our garage. It will not move on our carpet. It does not go very fast on pavement either. It turns on a dime and is a very cool concept, but wish there were more places to ride it.

Very disappointing. I'm honestly shocked by the number of rave reviews this product has received. It seemed relatively easy to assemble, but I couldn't make the car move forward at all (unless inching along at a snail's pace counts) despite trying it on both wood and tile floors. I subsequently found a [] review which ranked the Plasma Car low and wish I'd seen that before ordering.

This was a gift for my 5-year old daughter who really does love this car. My 8-yearl old daughter also enjoys it, but she can't get it going as fast. Assembly was easy, but we had a hard time tightening the front assembly sufficiently. The wheels' upright rod kept slipping out of the grip of the steering wheel. I think we finally have it tight enough. I'd recommend not putting on the yellow cap securely until you are good and sure that you have got the assembly well-tightened. The girls use it inside on the hard floor surfaces (wood and vinyl tile) and on our low-pile berber carpet. They've tried using it outside on blacktop, but it doesn't work well there as the surface is too rough. It also will not work up a slope, and carpets with any kind of pile will prevent wiggle-powering it. My kids will scoot it along with their feet when they can't wiggle it. We haven't yet tried concrete since it's been covered in snow all this time. It took the kids about 20 minutes of riding to get the hang of the wiggle-power method. Basically, the car operates by tacking like a sailboat does, only in this case, the momentum is provided by a kid leaning her weight forward. The ads say that anybody up to 220 pounds can ride the car - not really, though. The adults who have tried it were not very successful with the ride.

My grandson saw this car at a local store and wanted it badly...he promised to be very, very good if I would get it for him. When he got the car, he has been riding the car every day since it arrived and is extremely happy with it. The difference of price of the car on your website verses the price at the local store was huge. Your price was much better by far, even with shipping included. The car came packed well and in a timely manner considering it was backordered. Overall, my experience was outstanding. I will order from your site again!!

My family, my husband & I included, love this "car". It is so much fun and so easy to use that my 2 yr old grasped the concept of it right out of the box. Very easy to put together although one of the back wheels was a bit of a tight fit. I have not taken the PlasmaCar out of our house yet so I can not rate how it handles on the road. My children [6,2,9 months] use it on our Laminate "hardwood" floors. It definitely deserves the Platinum Best Toy Award that it was given. The only problem I see is that I only have one :) UPDATE Kids; 7,3,21 months The plasma car has now been ridden inside/outside on Concrete, Asphalt, Grass, Tile, Laminate, Rug etc...I completely stand by my first review on how wonderful this toy is. I do have to say however the tread on the wheels do not catch well on smooth floors so sometimes it can be a hassle getting the steering wheel to turn the wheels. My kids still LOVE the toy and use it whenever they can. All three have ridden it together they love taking each other for rides. It really is a great product and has held up VERY WELL against my very destructive children.

Does not ride easily or quickly. My 2 year and 3 year old just sit on it cause it barely allows them to go forward. It's definitely not fast, as shown in video.

A great toy, well worth the cost. A couple years ago I was given a plasmacar as a gift for my older daughter who was 3 at the time and she's loved it ever since. My younger daughter who just turned 2 figured out how to ride it a couple months back and they've been fighting over it ever since. So we got her a new one through FBT.com and they ride them together almost every day. Even my wife & I have been known to race them around the garage sometimes...

I purchase 4 PlasmaCar's for my grandkids ages 2, 3 and 6. The two 6 years old got on the the cars and went non stop loving them. One even said it was cooler than his dirt bike he got for Christmas last year. It took the 2 and 3 year old a little more time to get it going but now it is all they want to do. I think it is one of the best choices I have made in buying their gifts. After receiving these cars from Fat Brain Toys a local WalMart store displayed a TwisterCar. Look so much like the PlasmaCar and it is about $25 dollars cheaper but for the money the Fat Brain car is 100% a better buy. This toy is made of material to last for years. I am very happy with my purchace and will be shopping with you again.

The PlasmaCar appealed to all ages in the family, from a 3 yr old to Grandpa, and everyone took a turn around the basement! It's great that the old folks can ride along with the kiddies on all the bikes! It has a fun, undulating motion and uses the upper body, so is a nice alternative to the big wheels! We recommend this toy for fairly flat surfaces. We haven't tried it yet outside or on any incline. But it's a winner!

Ordered the plasma cars and they arrived all three of them the next day. They are a Christmas present so the kids have not used them yet BUT I think they are fun!!! Our only problem was the the steering device kept coming loose on two of them but we went and borrowed a wrench and I think they are going to be fine now. I think the kids are going to love them and I do not think they have ever seen them before.

We bought this car for our 5 year old son for Christmas, and he has played with it almost every day for the past month. My husband even rides it. We haven't used it outside yet however. Be sure to put the steering wheel on the right way.

I bought these for my grandsons, ages 4 and 2 and had them sent to their home in Delaware. Apparently they were not only a hit with the little ones, but with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends......you get the idea. My son said the adults were racing them around the garage and having a blast with them. They seemed to be very sturdy and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun gift for the little ones. My daughter was instrumental in my choice of gifts as she had seen them at a neighbor's house and the kids were all loving them. I'm glad I took her advice! I may get some more for the other grandk's for Christmas.

My boys (ages 8 and 9) adore the newest additions to our ride on toy 'garage'. I ended up getting two of them so that they could ride together. The cars were easy to assemble...but assembly was still required. Don't expect to just take it out of the box and let them have at it. And the cars are fabulous on flat even ground! The boys literally zoom, spin and race all over the place while on flat ground. However, the slightest incline or roughness of surface and the cars are much harder to make go. Thankfully we have a large flat area for them to ride, I would have been disappointed if we did not have that as the cars really don't do half as well on an incline (which is how they were designed, not a defect).

This toy was purchased for my grandson, age 3. He loved it from the first time he saw it, taking a minute to check it out visually he got on and started to move it around. His natural instinct was to move the steering left and right which of course caused the car to move forward. He was ecstatic! This is a grandparent's dream come true; it is quiet, safe, and totally occupies a child (who is also having a great time playing)! This is a great investment and value.

My kids (ages 3 to 12) all love this toy so much we had to purchase another one! The only downside to the PlasmaCar is that it works best on a flat surface or a downhill slope. My 10 year old can ride it down our street, but has to carry it back up. This toy is very sturdy and I can see it lasting in our home for a very long time.

I purchased it as a gift and when I put it together, it had a faulty steering wheel. So I called [the manufacturer] and they said that it would be three weeks or more before they would get some more replacement steering wheels into the warehouse. They [the manufacturer] didn't offer to send me a totally different car. So the customer service rating [for the manufacturer] is rated very low.

I purchases the plasma cars for my nieces and nephews for Christmas so I haven't had the opportunity to see how well they like them. I personally think they will go over very well. They are so streamline and seem not to have any sharp edges or corners that a child could cut themselves on. The fact that it is self propelled was another factor in buying it so the children will get some upper body exercise.

As soon as I put this together I had to take it to the basement and let my son play with it, and he had a blast! He's rode it several times in the basement and can't wait for the weather to warm up so that he can ride it outside! It's a well made toy that I'm sure will last him for years to come. This toy is well made and tons of fun. Little ones can jiggle the steering wheel and get a ride long before they learn how to pedal a tricycle. My 6 year old still thinks its fun. A great toy.

Easy to put together, easy to ride, fun for everyone. We got 4 of them between 2 families and are enjoying racing - ages from 3 - 69 yrs old!!!! Our 4 year old has a heart defect and his physical therapist recommended the Plasma Car for increasing his upper body strength and range of motion. He's getting his therapy while playing!

Purchased for 3 1/2 yr old. he loves it, but found it pretty challenging at first. Big brother (8 1/2) LOVED it. That encouraged little one to stick with it and in no time he, too, was enjoying himself. Fun and good exercise, too. :-D

This plasma car is a MUST have if you have children and/or a husband that likes cool toys. Our 18 month, 5 y/o and 8 y/o ride this car everyday. It's super stable, fast, easy to handle and steer. We have 2. Because we put so many miles on this we have replaced the wheels a few times. I ordered them over the phone. They were inexpensive (2 or 3 dollars each).

Got it for our 3 and 5 year old foster children. They love them! We live on a slight slope so...we do have to monitor them pretty close because they can get going pretty fast down the sidewalk. I feel like this has been a good investment for these boys and future foster kids we have at our home.

I bought two of these for my son (age 5) and daughter(age 3) for Christmas. They and their siblings (ages 20 months-9 years), and some time my husband and I (we both are under 100kg), play with these every day. Their cousins love them. Since then, I have bought 3 more as gifts for nieces and nephew and all the parents raved what wonderful gift they are. They all say it is the only toy that the kids play with every day. So I bought another for another niece for her birthday coming up.

Fascinating toy. I (grandma/Nana) caught on quickly. Three year old grandson took a little longer, but figured out how to maneuver the car with a bit of help. His mother had a problem with forward and backward. Perhaps the steering wheel could be better marked to reduce confusion. (We purchased it for our grandson and some young cousins who live nearby to use at our home.)

The little car was good, but you need a large open area of smooth floor to really operate it in a way that would appeal to small children. It isn't as easy to get it going as I had thought from reading the reviews, so very young children may not figure it out before their attention span has expired.

Our granddaughter loves the plasma car! What a great little car. The only difficulty was that we had a very, very hard time attaching and tightning the steering column. I could never have done it by myself. Even my husband had to use a mallet to assist in the tightening. I don't feel it should have been that difficult. But once we got it tight the car performed perfectly!! Thanks!

too bad we live in Minnesota. weather is a main factor in the use of a plasma car. it would be used all the time if summer and we cant wait. Its a great gift and glad we bought 3 of them. the 3 year old got on and took off almost right away. Grandma got on and she did move alittle (ha ha)

This was a gift for my 5 year old sons birthday. I should have bought 3, one for each of his older brothers. They all LOVE it. They go get their shoes "on the scooter", deliver items to one another "on the scooter". They even asked to take it to the grocery store. A HUGE HIT!!!!

My kids love this! We have three --9, 7 and 3 -- and each one loves it just as much as the other. Great toy for a span of ages.

I have an 8 year old who is very afraid to ride a bike. The plasma car makes it so she can play with her friends in the cirlce when the are riding bikes.

We got the PlasmaCar for our 4 year old son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! We knew he would be so excited to see it when he came downstairs on the morning of his birthday since he always tested it out when we were in the store shopping! Our 5 year old son loves it too!

The Plasma Car is the thing for little boys 2 and 3 year olds. They just love riding it. We walked to the park and they rode their Plasma Car there and back home. We were just fabrigasted.

I purchased this for my grand daughter who it too little to use it yet. But her mother and father each rode it around the house with her on their laps. They all enjoyed ti, it was sturdy and will be lots of fun when the snow leaves the sidewalks.

Purchased 2 of these cars for Christmas for my 4 and 6 year old daughters and they absolutely love them! They have literally played with them every day. It does scratch the wood floors, but it's not too bad - worth the level of enjoyment the girls are getting out of them. Pretty easy to assemble, great quality. Highly recommend!

My girls ages 3 and 6 love cars! They were a last minute idea after I had read some reviews on them and decided they had to have them. To my surprise, not only have they been a huge hit with the girls, but my 11 year old son wants one. My husband and I are huge Plasma Car fans as well now! The best part is it gets them out of the house and off their computers, game systems and away from the television. A must have product for a whole lotta fun!

We gave the plasma car to a grandson who turned five in February and he loved it! So, did his older brother and every child who could fit him or herself on it. So, this Christmas another grandson who was four in June is getting the blue one. I don't even have to worry how he will feel about this gift. I know it will be a winner.

This is such a fun ride on toy. We purchased it for my son's 4th birthday and not only does he love it but his two older sisters love it too. Everyone was riding on it at his birthday party - even his grandmother! It was very easy to assemble and it works perfectly just as described. I couldn't believe it until I tried it myself. Love it!

The Plasma Car is ingeniusly designed. There are no electronic parts, and no batteries to replace. It works on physics of movement alone and therefore, it doesn't get "old." My children oldest to youngest love it, and it can be used by adults as well. It is astonishing the speed you can build up with no motor. Brilliant.

This was for a birthday present for a 3 year old boy. He learn how to operate right away and loves it. It is sturdy and I sure he will get many months and years of enjoyment.. His older brothers and sister also enjoy it. It was easy to assemble.

This purchase was our 12th PlasmaCar. We've been buying PlasmaCars for the grandchildren for about 3 years. We paid $70 for the first cars. The grandchildren love them and they hold up amazingly well. From the teenagers (and even adults) down to the 18 month old, this is one of the favorite riding toys. They are easy to take to the park and the kids love to ride in the winter in the garage. The PlasmaCar is well worth the money.

With grandchildren who seem to have every toy that Target and Toy's R Us has to offer, it was a great pleasure for this Grandma to find a toy that was unique, well made, safe, and tons of fun. We gave the Plasma Car to a 3 year old boy and he loved it. His five and seven year old brothers also loved it. With a remarkable weight limit, even Mom, Dad and the grandparents enjoyed a brief trip down the hallway! Great toy for a bargain price!

I purchased 3 (identical) Plasma cars for my 3 grandsons, ages 7,4 and 2.5 yrs. They all immediately climbed aboard and began racing one another. My youngest grandson switches back and forth from using the steering handle to move and his feet, depending on where he wants to go. I am very happy to see that this is a toy that maintains all of their interest and activity levels. I also like that the height of the toy is safe and good for all sizes , giving the youngest the idea that he's keeping up with the big boys. It only took my husband a few minutes to put all of the toys together.

The PlasmaCar works great on our kitchen floor. Our kids have been having fun riding around me while I cook. It is also great fun on rainy days when they can't ride their bikes outside. I bought the PlasmaCar planning to use it outside, but it does not work well on our asphalt driveway.

The kids are having fun with it! I have to keep tightening the main bolt which it a little frustrating. Could be easily fixed with a notch to prevent slippage. Otherwise, a fun toy.

This was not as easy to assemble as expected. The steering column had to be tightened several times. After assembly, the car had limited entertainment potential for my 4 year old grandson.

This is the 6th car I have purchased. Three for grandchildren and 3 for friends. One of the best toys ever. My grandsons and I even race around the house on them. Great for ages 3-53!!!

I like to get on it with my kids and go down our hill. My kids love it!! once we get to the bottom of the hill my 2 yr old doesnt want to get off. we have only had it for a few days but my kids love it. we bought it for my son and he never wnats to share it with his 5yr old sister. It is made out of a very strong yet light weight plastic. making it easy to take to my sisters or to the greenway for them to ride. very easy to put together!

I bought the plasma car for my 4 year old grandson. He loves it. I wonder who likes it more me or him. We have wood floors in our house and I get on it and it goes so fast. So it's not just for the kids. I even ordered two more for Xaviers two best friends for their birthday.

My son is 5 years old and Autistic. He does not have the ability to ride a bicycle or tricylce. This allows him to have the ability to have a toy that he can enjoy!!! My 23 year year old niece and 67 year old grandmother also enjoyed it!!! It has been great to see my son be able a car that he can use!!!

for our daughters two year old birthday we purchased the plasma car as she is unable to pedal trikes and bikes like her older siblings. She loves it so much she won't share it with them, she can wiggle it to make it move but also use her feet to scoot along

I loved the idea of these racers, but my kids can't go up and down the sidewalks with them. It takes a lot of work and they are not big kids, (they are all very slender). So they race down the driveway with them.

The plasma car is so much fun! I bought it for a 2 year old girl and although she cannot understand the hand movement needed she loves riding with me on it! It really is as good as they say. With the weight limit at 200+ this gift will last a long time.

This is a great way for little ones to get around. Even bigger kids want to ride on it, but now my 1 year old has taken it over. He scoots around the block. My 4 year old can steer it with his feet on the resting area so that it moves itself (strangely amazing), but he prefers to rush around Flintstone-style so he can keep up with his older brothers on their bikes. It really does go forward and backward (when you turn the steering wheel around) by just turning the steering whell. I will even hop on in the back and go for a ride. Sometimes it winds up inside on the hardwood floors and works there too.

its realy incredible the way how this thing work, my son love it he is 3 and a half and he can not ride on a bike because its a lot of energy that he has to put to get an smal movement, and with the PLASMACAR its realy easy, he leans very fast to use it and is smal the way if we go to tha park i can take up to three plasmacars in my small car.

We bought two different "scooter-type" toys for the littles ones to ride on rainy/cold days in the office. The plasma car is great for keeping an active child's energy channeled for good use. It only took a few minutes for our kids to figure out how to get going.

This car was easy to put together and is easy for my grandson to play on. At 1year old, he is mostly interested in pushing it and doesn't quite grasp the concept of the car but he seems to make it work for him.

My 4 year old daughter had the chance to play with this toy while at a friends house. Out of all the toys that were there, all she wanted was this toy. So I came home and bought her one, mind you it is a Christmas gift so she has not used it. When I was online ordering it she saw it and asked that I put it on her "Christmas List". It was VERY simple to put together, I had it out of the box and put together in less than 10 minutes. Can't wait for her to open it on Christmas morning.

I bought this toy for my grandsons' second birthday. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. It was priced appropriately as compared to other ride on vehicles of similar quality. It is extremely easy to ride, just a little wigglin'. His father and uncle also found it fun to scoot around on, they couldn't resist. The weight limit goes to 220lbs. Great toy! Highly recommend it. One last thing it is very portable, easy to take along in the car to the park.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for a 5 year old boy. He had played with a plasma car at a friends and loved it. It has been a huge hit. He drives is on the wood floors in our kitchen and in the garage on rainy days. He has played with it every day since he rec'd it. Shows it off to everyone that stops by. His 9 year old sister is begging for her turn to use it. Love it and wished I had purchased it earlier and purchased 2 !! Out of the box and put together in 5-10 minutes!!
