Although the recommended age is 8+, Make 'n' Break can be also be enjoyed by younger children. My four year old son has been having fun with this aptly titled game / toy. We play it more free-form (without the timer) instead of competitively. I think older children will enjoy the fast-paced game format.
My son loves the rhyming title and it encourages him to not get too attached to his creations so he can move on to making a new one. I appreciate the spatial skills it teaches. Some of the level 3 cards require using a block as a weight to allow two off-balance pieces below to remain balanced, so there are some physical principles illustrated.
The blocks are of good quality although I wish there were more of them and harder cards to make it more challenging for adults. Overall, I'm very pleased with Make 'n' Break.

This is a really fun game. It's was easy to learn and despite the simple concept it's a challenging game as well. My teenager and I had a good time competing against each other and my 5 year old was able to understand the game right away. Even my 2 year old got a turn (without the timer of course). This is a game that the entire family can enjoy.

wow! great for kids

This game is every bit as exciting as promised! I played it with my just turned 4 year old daughter, 13 year old son and seriously grumpy hubby and we all had a blast! We were loud, obnoxious and just plain nuts. It had to have been the game because we're never like that normally. Well, sometimes. But it was still so fun! The game ended when said grumpy hubby was beaten by me. I guess it had something to do with him being a contractor and building houses for a living...or something like that. Don't hesitate, just buy it!
