Bought this for my 4 yr old granddaughter who shows interest in animals. She frequently plays "vet" with all her stuffed toys. I always try out a new toy before giving it to a child, to make sure it performs. I have learned the disappointment of a faulty toy to a child is heartbreaking. I had some trouble with getting the pony to whinny. But everything else worked fine so I wrapped it and put it under the tree. Then a couple of hours later it started to whinny and did not stop until I finally unwrapped it and it a shot. My gradndaugter loved it and it was the best present for her this year. She does not play with it everytime she visits but it is at the top of the toybox.
