My son enjoys the music kit, and I think that the animal theme is adorable! He likes to shake the maracas the best. I think that the fish is a little advanced for him (1 year old), but he can hit it while someone else is holding the tail. He also likes to shake the bumblebee bells. That is the original reason that I chose this toy. I was a bit disappointed by the finished product, even knowing that there were 5 instruments, it was expensive for what it was and easily scratched. The paint from three of the instruments was rubbed off on others from manufacture or shipping.

Really cute musical instruments. There is a nice variety and the wooden instruments are good quality. My son loves the zebra and the fish. I received the instruments as a gift and bought them as a gift for the birthday of a one year old.

My son loves his new instruments! My son is very rough with his toys and the instruments seem to be holding up great. We use the instruments during several parts of his daily routine.

Wish it made in a country other than China. When I ordered had not realized that I was ordering something made in China as I was attempting to order toys not made there and I guess I wondered out of that search criteria with out noticing.

My 16-month old little boy loves all the musical instruments! The animal theme is very cute and the wooden construction is very sturdy.

These were really cute but a few of the instruments had paint smudges on them (maybe from the other instruments rubbing against them).

i bout this for christmas for my daughter. she is 16 months and loves instruments. even though it isn't christmas yet, i couldn't wait to check out the set. it is so adorable and i know she is going to love it! great deal !!

I purchased this product for my grandson's first birthday because my granddaughter had the set. It is soo much fun for that age and there are so many ways that the fun animal instruments can be played!!! I knolw that my grandson will love it as much as his cousin does!

My 15 month old loves this music kit. She can actually play with all of the pieces...not all correctly yet, but still enjoys them. Each piece is great quality and cute!

We got this set for my son's first birthday since he loves toys that make sounds. He absolutely loves the maracas and the bells, and enjoys exploring the other items as well, though he doesn't actually use them for their intended purposes yet. I am so glad that this will be a set of toys he can grow with and enjoy for the next several years. The quality is excellent so I have no doubt they will last!

Our daughter loves this Animal Band Music Kit! It is a great interactive toy set. I believe it is helping her learn cause and effect. We can actually see her intent as she plays with each piece. Note: This review comes with one caveat. The toy is rated for ages 3+. The green frog castanet has two eyeballs. One of which mysteriously fell off. We looked for this eyeball in fear that our daughter my inadvertently find it and swallow it. We did finally find the eyeball, but decided it was better to shelve the frog castanet. The other option is to pull out the other eyeball and then let her play with it eyeless. In either case this is a bad piece/part.

I bought this for my daughter and niece (both under 2). It was a hit! They both love the instruments. There are no small pieces. It is one of my favorite toys. Well made, nice wood vs. plastic. Very colorful. I recommend it!

The instruments are colorful and very cute! I originally bought them for my granddaughters and then decided that I would order 2 more sets and donate them to my music class. They will love them! The instruments are imaginative and very well made! I'm sure the children will fight over who gets which instrument, which means... They are a hit!

We gave the Animal Band Music Kit as party favors at our son's first birthday party and they were quite a hit! All of the kids attending the party were really into music, so this was the perfect favor for them. They loved them! Each instrument is a different animal, which is so fun!

I love all of the instruments except the fish noisemaker. I think that it would be better if the stick didn't come completely out. I worry about little ones walking or dancing around with a stick that has come out of the instrument. I am crazy about the castanets and want to order a dozen or so. They are so fun to use even with tiny hands! They are great.

I love these instruments. I bought them for my 13 month old and he loves each and every one. They are safe to chew on, too, since the paint used is non-toxic and lead free according to the website. Have fun with yours!

I have taught music classes to preschoolers for ten years. Throughout this time I have used a variety of different rhythm instruments in my class. The instruments in the Animal Band were very welcomed in my class! The children loved the fact that they looked liked animals and couldn't wait to try and play each and every one of them. I would and have recommended this set to the childcare and preschool centers I work with.

As a parent concerned with toxic materials, I was quite concerned when I received and opened this product. The odor of plastic and chemicals was incredibly strong and lasted for hours. Additionally, I do not see any indication that the parts were made with nontoxic paint. As studies are increasingly revealing the dangers of PVC's in plastic and vinyl and lead in paint I am concerned. As far as the enjoyment factor, both my 1 year old and my 2 year old love these instruments and have had a ball playing with them. So in that respect they're a hit!

We contacted the manufacturer in regards to these concerns. Sassafras assures the paint is indeed non-toxic and this product has been fully safety tested.)

I purchased this toy for my 3 yr old grandson and he just loved it. He gave each family member an instrument so we could all play at the same time. He seemed to enjoy the bells the most. I think the instruments were well made and my grandson loved the animal faces. I will certainly purchase toys from you in the future.
