Erector Build & Play ATV

All of my boys love building with Erector sets, even our three year old will sit patiently through reading directions as long as he gets to use the screwdriver tool. This set is simple for the younger set to put together with adult guidance. My nine and seven year old boys have gone beyond basic directions and have come up with many creative designs on their own as well. This toy has a small enough number of pieces as to not become overwhelming, it encourages patience, it is open ended enough to allow for creativity, and there is a great sense of pride when a child completes the task at hand. All in all, an excellent buy!

... was a little overwhelmed by the assembly, but enjoyed this when for a while when assisted by a parent. Eventually an older sibling (7) took over with assembly, but the gift recipient (4) was engaged again when she saw the fully assemble helicopter. So far this is the only thing we've built.
