My 5 year old nephew enjoyed playing with it after it was assembled. Assembly is way beyond a 5 year old child's skill however.

This was a gift for our grandson who is 4 1/2, he and his Dad put the fire truck together in about 1 hour. It was a little difficult our son said but his son sure enjoyed taking it apart and is ready to try again. Good quality product, as described.
