Very cute. Bought this for my 20 month old son. He loves to turn the handle and smiles every time the horse pops out. A classic toy that every kid should have.

The horse inside of the box looked a little weird but the overall product was very good and my 3 year old daughter is really enjoying it.

I purchased this pony-in-the-box for my nephew's first b-day and he was very attracted to the music and pony when it popped out. He is too little to turn the handle, but his 3-year old brother could do it and was actually having a hard time letting go of the present so his little brother could enjoy it! However, it is a little tricky getting the lid to stick so that you can start over, I had to help them with that and even I had to spend a couple of minutes trying to figure it out. But it is a darling toy and the pony is very sweet.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter, because she loves horses.....and as silly as it sounds, she has had a great time with this. Very similar to the traditional jack in th box, but with the horse and horse sounds, a fun collectors items for horse fans.

This toy is the source of many hours of fun for an 18 month old. Her daddy is in the 4th Cav and deployed to Afghanistan. The babies are very familiar with horses and love them.

I'm happy with the pony jack-in-the-box. The music is nice and the pony's whinny is cute. I was disappointed that the pony's face wasn't as cute as it is in the picture. My grandson likes it and that's what counts.

We bought this for our daughter's first birthday, knowing she may be a bit young. The other reviews were pretty positive, and so we choose this particular jack in the box. We figured the horse was not as scary as other options. She liked it immediately and though she is not able to turn the crank, she did figure out how to circumvent the system, and simply push the top button to have the horse pop up by day two. The construction is durable as we had older kids using it quite harshly and it held up with no problem.

The latch is very frustrating for our daughter to operate. You have to "finish the song" and not go too far past it for latch to close, so you can close the hatch and do it again. It is seemingly irritating for my 2 year old that it doesnt close when she wants. Its a SUPER cool toy though and is great entertainment. Plus its not a scary clown!

This is going back to the vendor for three reasons: 1) The "Home on the Range" theme that the box plays really is no substitute for "Pop Goes the Weasel". Besides, where else can one hear Pop Goes the Weasel except a Jack in the Box? Seriously though, the song is way too long and takes way too many cranks for the pop-up. 2) The horse has some great fur, but it's accompanied by "fuzzies". My child can pull the "hair" out rather easily with her small fingers or teeth. 3) The whole box hinges, quite literally, on a small, small piece of hook-shaped plastic which is the latch for the box. This piece is just begging to be broken off. When it's gone, the box is worthless. In the meantime, the lid has this annoying habit of needing extra cranks of the box to latch (the instructions explain this) and the lid feels pretty loose/fragile. It's not heirloom quality as some suggest. A nice twist, but I'd much prefer the traditional.

The product was a gift for my granddaughter. It is really cute and she loves the pony. I found the handle is hard to turn and it is difficult to push the pony back in the box unless the handle is in one exact spot.

I chose this product for my 20 month old son. I am pretty pleased with it so far. The song is cute and the sound chip works fine. However, the front legs of the pony we received needs more stuffing as the front legs are slightly droopy. Overall, a great buy.

My son loves this Jack In The Box. He was scared by the one with the jester but this pony is cuddly and cute when it pops out. It's easy to use and everyone at our party thought it was a unique twist on the Jack In The Box.

This was purchased for our son, 1 year old. The music is wonderful, the horse sounds are clear and it is a delightful toy! It is the nicest Jack in the Box we've ever seen. Nicely decorated on the outside too.

The pony pops up and "whinneys" 3 times. I guess it's kind of simplistic. It is pretty true to the jack in the box formula.

I purchased the Pony Jack in the Box for my grandchildren, ages 17 months and 3 years. They love it, especially the horse's whinny. The only thing is, they are impatient, so as soon as I close the lid, they head straight for the latch so they can hear the whinny. So much for the element of surprise. Thanks for the great toy!!

The pony is cute and fuzzy, and the, Home on the Range song is a fine choice, however the 3 neighing sounds are loud and prolonged and in my opinion, potentially scary for young children. We decided not to give this one to our grandchild. Instead, we gave her the "Mary Had a Little Lamb" jack-in-the-box, which she loves.

My 3 year old has had this toy for a year and still enjoys playing with it. It's also popular with other children that come to visit our home, so much that I ordered one for my niece. The toy is well made and has stood up to much use. It's simple, entertaining, and develops fine motor skills.

My husband and I are very pleased with the Pony Jack in the Box. I purchased this toy for my grandson's 2nd birthday this December. I tested it and it works beautifully. We both started laughing when the horse begins to whinney. For those concerned about pricing, this item is priced the same as an original Jack in the Box from Back to Basic Toys or any other quality made pop up toy.

My daughter absolutely loves this Pony. She is 19 months and carries her pony all over the place. Every time he pops out, she kisses him on the nose. We have to hide it from her if we want her to do something else. It is well constructed and I would recommend this to anyone.

The latch on this toy was defective and didn't stay closed. It was sent back for replacement. Very disappointing.

I am really pleased with this toy. It looks sturdy, the horse sound it makes is cute, and the overall look of it is just as cute as it can be. I highly recommend this product. You just can't find it in the stores.

The box is a sturdy metal box with nice horse pictures. The music when cranked has a nice sound, but I really wish the manufacturer had not included electronic horse sounds and batteries. It would have been better as a classic toy.

This was a gift for my Great grand daughter s second birthday. Since our family is all about horses ! what could be better " nothing!" It was the hit of her party and all ages . She never got around to finish opening her other gifts.
