Real Rodeo Champions Set

This playset is absolutely amazing. I am 100% happy with the quality. The pieces stay together amazingly well for our 4 year old. They do come apart, but are easily put back together. Him being able to move the men and the "real feel" bulls has made this the best rodeo & bull rider toy we have purchased. And, let me tell you if it's made, we own it! So my overall rating of this in comparison to the other ones on the market is no doubt 5 stars! Don't hesitate to buy (just be ready to assemble!)

The humans and animals were of high quality. The fencing was large and relatively durable. When the toy arrived, I didn't hear one word from the kids all afternoon. They have such fun with it. I also ordered the large blue bag in which to store the toy, which is a good idea for there are many parts.

I was disappointed in two things. Included there was a cardboard sheet that was to be folded (it had tabs on the ends). One of the tabs was ripped off. There was no explanation of what this cardboard contraption was. We thought maybe it was for the cowboys to stand on behind the chutes, but if that is what it was for there should have been two sheets. Also, bodies of the bulls are not as articulated as the Rodeo Champions advertising claims that they are. I planned to pose them in the rodeo setting in an aquarium (no water) but the bulls are not very posable so I was disappointed in that sense.

Rodeo Champions Deluxe Set

The little "cowboy" that received this gift was THRILLED! He couldn't wait to take it home and put it together. A perfect gift for the child that loves the rodeo

I really wanted to be impressed with this toy. It sounded like such a great toy, with multiple articulation points and fine detail. The box said "Expandable arenas, functioning gates and working chutes make Rodeo Champions your authentic choice for hard play." I assumed it would be much sturdier than it is. I opened it to set it up for my son, only to discover that one of the fence pieces was broken. When I placed one of the bull riders on his bull his legs popped off, and we discovered that his torso would no longer snap back together (the plastic piece was broken). I sent an email directly to Schylling expressing my disappointment over the broken pieces. They offered to replace the broken rider and fence piece. The fence and chute pieces look like they'd be made out of metal, but they are actually a pretty flimsy plastic. Though they do snap together easily, they also, unfortunately, snap apart just as easily, which can be frustrating during play. I'm not sure how this toy is going to hold up over time. It won't hold up under hard play, that's for sure. Despite missing a bull rider, my 4 year old son has enjoyed playing with his rodeo set. The detail is incredible. He also likes that he can move the pieces, unlike some of his other cowboy sets where the figurine is "frozen" in one position. I do have to wonder, however, if a cheaper, "frozen" rodeo set might have been a better choice, both economically and with regards to longevity. I think only time will tell.

The product was exactly as advertised. After doing extensive looking, Fat Brain Toys had the best price.

Rodeo Champions Playset

The bulls and cowboys are made to be very durable. Some of the connections on the gates were difficult to attach securely. All other aspects of the toy are up to my expectations. My six year old son loves the set.
