My son was so excited to see a dinosaur fossil. He needed some help casting the mold because he's only 4 but it was a fun family activity.

False advertising

The picture is very misleading. It appears to be a model that you put together as a standing dinosaur. However, it actually requires you to make the bones using a mold and then it can only be assembled lying down or on a magnetic surface. While my son did enjoy it for what it is, it is not at all what he expected or was looking for.

Great learning tool. Only down side is that it requires a lot of supervision for the orignal casting.

This was a gift for my granddaughter, who does not live with me, and she has not had the opportunity to open the box.

Dinoworks is part arts & crafts and part puzzle-solving. A great rainy day project, but plan ahead and pour the plaster into the molds for the pieces (bones) to set up.

Great experience

My just-turned 4-year-old daughter loved building her dinosaur with Daddy. We worked on it off and on again throughout the weekend and it's now displayed proudly on a desk in our office area. Since she's young, we did the project together. She helped stir the plaster of paris, poured it with me, painted all on her own and helped line up all the pieces then glue them down on foam core... And while she didn't seem to notice, the directions said something about paints that were not included in our set. Not sure if there was a missing row of paints or not. But, like I said, wasn't a big deal to her.
