I've given this toy to two of my gandchildren and they love it. The gun is a fun and safe way to capture bugs. Once the bugs are in the container, they are fascinated watching the through the magnifier lens top. With the "laser" light, the gun also plays a big part in scenarios involving Buzz Lightyear!

This is so fun for my 3 year old son. He loves chasing bugs and sucking them up. I have even used it myself. FUN!

This toy was recommended to me by the sales associate at Fat Brain Toys. My son is 3-years-old and is a bit young for the toy. He uses is to suck up the butterfly that came with the toy and imaginary bugs. He also uses it as a gun. (It has a trigger and a sight.)We have not found real bugs yet.
The lazer is removable and we have hidden it because he is too young to understand that he should not shine it in his eyes or other's eyes.

Our grandson loves this toy! The first one he owned was used constantly over the course of many months. Then their new puppy "ate it" - Kellen was devastated. Even though he is a year older now (7), he was very excited to open this on Christmas and especially liked the "laser" light on this model which he didn't have before. It's a little cold for outdoor bugs right now, but any he sees indoors will be captured for sure!

The lazer on top doesn't fit in the grooves, so I can't use it. I'm not a kid, I bought it to vacuum flies out of my frog terrarium and to catch flies and insects for my frogs. The vacuum could use a little more power...

It was a gift for a grandson in another state. His mother says he 'vacuums' the dog frequently and she just lays there quietly.
