Great game

This is a great product. My 8 year old niece loved it, especially because she got to keep the pyramid almost intact. We only needed to get the top part off to get to the goodies inside. She also enjoyed deciphering the hierogliphs to open the pyramid. Make sure you do this one outside, there is sand inside. The booklet is also great. She got to read about the artifacts discovered.

My 8 year old daughter started working on this christmas morning and didnt stop until she finished it. I was so curious, I watched her. She thought it was amazing. She was a little freaked out at how real the mummy looked! I love it.

My mother bought this for my 5 year old son and he absolutely loved it!. He sat there for about an hour completing it from start to finish. My only complaint is that it was to easy and they need to make the excavation a little harder which I find with most of these excavation kits.

I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old son. He is interested in archaeology and especially mummies and pyramids. He loved that we had to decipher the hieroglyphs to open the pyramid even though they were a little hard to make out. When we got it open, the lock had broken off but that doesn't matter. He carefully excavated the mummy and 4 urns and I used the book that comes with it to explain about the artifacts. This was fun and not too messy. I put the pyramid on a towel and just tossed the sand in the trash after he was done. The tools are of good quality and not dangerous. We cut some strips off the box that has a line of hieroglyphs to use for bookmarks. Overall, it was great fun and a good way to introduce archaeology and Egypt.

my 9yo son just received this for his birthday. he absolutely loves it! he enjoyed the excavation and also enjoyed learning about the pyramids.....giving us facts all afternoon. he also let his younger brother and sister be his assistants! so it was a great group effort!! definitely a great gift.
