I bought this for my 5-1/2 year old son who has just completed the first grade singapore math curriculum. I like the idea of the game in terms of incorporating math in a fun pirate game. even some of the easy questions are still a bit hard for him and may take him so much time to figure out that it interrupts the flow of the game. However, I think that will improve once he is more adept at the questions. I like how many of the questions are not straightforward computation but require a bit of thinking even to figure out what operations to use. I'm excited to play more of this with my son as his math skills improves

Educational and Fun

A fun way to practice math on many levels. This is fun for the whole family. Entertaining enough for our thirteen year old and simple enough to walk through the problems with our seven year old. Encourages him to think and learn while having fun.

My 8 year old daughter really enjoyed this game. I can see this 'growing' with her math skills as there are 2 levels of play. She was having so much fun,she didn't realize she was practicing addition, subtraction and multiplication. Great way to practice those 'math facts' without your child realizing it! The first level of the game focuses on basic math computational skills while the second level embeds the skills into wordp problems.

Challenging!

This game definitely engages my 6yro son in solving math problems - has him working through word problems and thinking logically. Plus he has fun doing it!
