The game was a hit with my son. I bought it because I wanted him to practice his spanish. He is 4 years old and loves the game. With only 2 players (me and him) it's not that exciting, but if you have at least 4 players it can be very fun for toddlers.
One criticism I have is that the company should include a wider array of "chips" and playing cards. You get about 8 playing cards and the same 12 chips repeat over and over. You'd think they could expand this a bit. A real bingo card has numbers from 0 to 50 I think.

Fun Little Game
Posted 7/6/2009 by Alice

This is a nice little game that provides a bit of vocab practice in a short amount of time. It is suggested for ages 4-8. If you are using the foreign language portion of the game, this is fine. If you plan to use the English version, it would be better for ages 3-6.
The game mechanic works well. Each player chooses a Bingo-style card. There is a box filled with vocabulary chips. You slide the box forward and back and 2 chips come out. Players race to say the words so they can place the chips on their card. (Matching words and pictures are found both the cards and chips.) Each game takes less than 5 minutes.
All in all, I do like game and we have played it quite a bit. My two complaints would be the extremely limited vocabulary and the choice of words. I feel that words like "apple" and "chair" would be more useful than the "deer" and "ghost" found in the game.

Disappointed

I had planned on buying this for my 4 year old daughter for months. I think that we were both disappointed. The cards don't always come out smoothly. The amount of manual work required to actually play the game is more than I had envisioned, returning the cards through tight slots. She unfortunately wants to spend more time playing the computer game she got for Christmas.

Great game

We own the English version of this game, and I purchased the Spanish version in as a way to encourage my son to use his Spanish conversational skills -- I speak Spanish to him at home. The game itself it a lot of fun, and, at 2.5 years old, he already loves it and understands how it's to be played. We play it as a family and thoroughly enjoy it. And for a little guy like him, it's a great way to introduce him to turn-taking, encourage his vocabulary, and to spend some time together as a family.
My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make the game boards and chips in such a way that it's not to easy to knock the chips off of of the board. Not a huge issue, but with an active 2.5 year old, I spend a lot of time making sure the chips on his board don't go flying. Make them magnetic, maybe? -- great game, though.

We love Zingo!

My five-year-old is in a Spanish immersion kindergarten. Playing Spanish Zingo is a fun way for us to use Spanish at home. And when we get tired of playing in Spanish, we just flip the tile and play in English!
I definitely recommend this game :-)

Great product. I purchased it to teach my grandchildren a few Spanish words before our trip to Mexico. They had fun while they learned with this sturdy game.

My intention when purchasing this game was to have my non-English speaking parents play with their non-Spanish speaking grand kids. I opened it a birthday party. All the adults and kids got involved! Everyone enjoyed it. I wound up giving it away to someone who had never heard of it.
