What a great tool for learning

On a whim, I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old son. I've been trying to find some sort of instruments that would capture his interest in music. I can tell he likes music, but the typical child toys are not at all like instruments, and even drums are still a bit beyond him. But because this repeats, and each note in a chord will light up, it really grabs his attention.
And as the description says, it is essentially an old-school synthesizer, so it is about as close to a "real instrument" as someone that young can seem to muster. Another great factor is that this synthesizer teaches the concepts of chords and of pauses. If you leave one of the sections blank, it will pause, you light up more than one in a section, and you have a chord. It is really wonderful. The only thing that could make it better is if you could switch keys. It'd be really great to be able to go from a major to a minor, for instance.
(Oh, and our 5 year old child likes it even better. So do both of us parents.)

Its like a step sequencer in toy with 8 steps and diferent bpm presets, i like the sound, there are 3 or 4 sounds of the 8 presets that i used to play, its a product very easy to use and very funny!!!
I recomend to have it, but its not esential.....

My son, 9, absolutely loves this toy! He is a musician at heart and really enjoys putting his own patterns together. The lights just help to add to the fun! He is able to add notes and delete them so easily then hear the results.
