Super nifty robot. Works great. He's become my little buddy. I wish it had at least one more feature like more control over the hands to lift objects better.

i-Sobot Best Robot Of The Year!

This product is great. I have been watching the development of small robots for years and it is the best for three reasons.
1. Best bang for the buck!
2. Functions the same as the expensive ones.
3. And finally it can be programmed from the control and operated manually from the control.
I bought this for my 15year old son who was interested in the expensive ones, and he loves it!

Cool Toy With A Few Flaws

This robot is amazing, but ... 1) the joints seem to go out of alignment pretty easily causing the robot to tumble (maybe this can be fixed with the included hex key), 2) the remote control sometimes needs direct line of sight before the robot reacts.

PROTO AI

A prelude to humanoid robotics. Very much an adult item, but an attractor for geekly teenagers as well. Will, I predict, become a popular plaything for hacker types, especially those interested in embedded realtime computing. Great potential for feature enhancement and expansion. Think digital camera, sensors, UAVs

Great Technical Achievement in a Mini Size Robot
Posted 10/21/2007 by William Karda

This little robot is amazing for its size. Thanks to a gyro motor and 17 tiny geared motors, it is able to strike and hold all kinds of poses. The four modes of operation (RC, Programming, Special Action and Voice Recognition) all work to give the robot an almost endless amount of movement. The robot's voice is very clear for such a small body, and the built in sound effects add to the fun. The robot has no autonomous mode, like being able to be a sentry. The 4 AAA NiMh batteries cannot be recharged while they're inside the robot In all, a great tech achievement for the money.
