I bought this for my four year-old daughter who likes to play "tent," "camping," "fort," "castle," etc. I like that this toy is open-ended enough that it can create anything she imagines. The pieces are not particularly hard to put together, but my daughter does need some assistance in building her creation and spreading the sheet on top. This toy was a big hit last weekend during a family get-together. It was the only toy in the playroom that my seven- and thirteen-year-old nephews played with. In fact, it entertained them for hours! And, we did use the tape as others have suggested since they built a car and wanted to "drive" it out into the dining room to show everyone. It held up pretty well! I haven't found the need to use the tape when building stationary structures with my daughter.
