Nice cloth bag with drawstring for storage. The set has the right number of pieces, however they are almost all alike. The set in the picture shows several of the "legs" as being forked. In my set there was only one and the fork is barely noticeable. The flat pieces are two different sizes, but again without any character. To a one year old I'm sure the set will be fine, to an adult, it is lacking variety.

These blocks are fantastic. All the adults and kids who have seen them can't stop playing with them. The feel of the wood and the wonderful natural shapes invite all kinds of play and building that more traditional blocks do not.
I give them 4 stars instead of 5 onlybecause a couple of the blocks are cut slightly unevenly and can't stack, I've seen lots of sets of treeblocks without this issue so perhaps it is just this set.

Both my kids (3 and 5) love playing with these. There is no limit to their imagination. Last night they built an ark and had all the animals on the ark. A few nights ago, they built a zoo. I love that there is no bark. It is cleaner for them to play with and they leave no mess behind!

I got these for my son after the pre-school that I worked at had them. The kids absolutley love them! They are so different from other blocks, it's fun to watch the kids use their imagination when building with these unusual blocks.

These blocks are exactly what I was looking for. My son is almost six years old. I am making a concerted effort to provide him with toys that are natural and promote creativity. This does both. One of the best things about these blocks is that I enjoy playing with them as well. We wind up having quality time together building interesting structures!

I thought that the blocks were very fine, but my grandsons, ages 3 and 5, had little reaction to them. The 5 year old never went near them, while the 3 year old tried a little building but then lost interest. This does not mean that they won't get interested at some later time. Their responses are unpredictable every time.

I like the interesting shapes of these building units. They feel smooth to the touch and are in cm units so that they stack in extremely unique ways. I appreciate the warning about the need to watch for splintering with use.

i have given this as a gift to 2 boys, both age 3. They both love it and play with it very often. Their mothers tell me that it's among their favorite toys and is a great companion toy to figurine toys, ie: soldiers, dinosaurs, and other sets of wood blocks. My only suggestion would be to include a larger number of the branch-shaped blocks... they're so unique-looking.

Building blocks in general are a fantastic addition to any classroom or playroom and tree blocks are certainly a good investment. These blocks blend naturally with other building sets and can be used with so many diverse manipulatives such as small dinosaurs, people, insects, or animals. This particular set has the bark removed (which I prefer) and many of the pieces are bleached of color while others have a hint of the original bark remaining. There are enough for an average size classroom and the children ask for them day after day. I will be looking at accessories for my next purchase.

It is a very popular toy. I rented one from the erc in my area. The children loved the item and that is why I bought one that I could keep. I was disappointed in the item. All the large blocks were split and about ready to crack in half. I will not be able to put out the big pieces of wood at work...

It is okay. My son likes it because he likes wood and likes to pretend he is fixing things. However, the logs and wood are pretty heavy and a little dangerous if he throws them or runs with them. Some of the pieces also can split so now I worry about splinters. I don't think this toy is worth the cost.

My son plays with it only once in a while cause we rotate his toys, but it goes perfectly with a gnome/woodland creature house we bought. Great quality.

I prefer the barkless tree blocks to the ones with bark for indoor play - less dust and chipping off of bark. I store the blocks in a basket on the floor so they are within easy reach of grandkids. The kids were excited to find them, and have enjoyed stacking and building with them, plus loading them onto toy carts and trucks. The toddler enjoys holding one of the forked blocks. They're also pleasing for me to look at (and sometimes play with) as I pass by.

I have been looking for a product like this for a long time. A fellow play therapist had blocks like these and I really wanted some. I am so glad I ordered two sets; one for me and one for another play therapist. We do a lot of work in a sand tray and our clients are able to incorporate them into their work. They are great. The kids enjoy stacking them and creating new pathways. I am very pleased.

This is toy up there with the ball and the stick....well actually it a bunch of sticks, glorious ones at that. It is toy that my son(s) will inevitably play with a good deal. Am contemplating buying another set

The blocks themselves are beautiful. As an added bonus this game teaches quite a bit about counterbalancing when building with the forked "logs." It's a great toy, much more challenging than regularly shaped blocks.

This the third bag of tree blocks I get, the first two had bark. But with a little one on the way, I thought this would be a better option at the beginning. My oldest son is already playing with them. They also came with more of the unusual pieces than the other sets we got!!!!! You can never have enough tree blocks!!!! We make towers, houses, zoos, count, play camping.....it never ends!

My son and I love your blocks! we take them out every day. I keep them in a basket on the floor so he can get to them any time because they're so safe and fun! I only wish there were even more long rounded ones instead of the long rectangular ones. Or even if the long rectangular ones were cut into smaller square ones (which we might do ourselves). All in all we love to build hoses for our animalz and tall towers my son can knock over! He really likes to use the funky tree shaped ones as hammers! Thank you!

I love the blocks. The raw wood is more appealing to my son, 16 months, rather than typical rainbow wooden blocks. The realistic appeal is very unique. However, some blocks will not stand on their own very well. Meaning, the bottoms aren't completely straight, so it's harder to balance on them as bases. Overall, I wish I would have ordered more than 36 pieces to work with. My husband and I love them too!!!

The blocks are for my grandson, too little just yet to do much more that chew on them and do some tentative banging, but I love them! I sanded edges on similar ones when i co-taught in a waldorf kindergarten, I anticipate many hours of contented and creative play.

My son just turned six and he really has enjoyed his new tree block set. He incorporates them with his regular building blocks and makes some amazingly creative constructions. The blocks are sturdy and not too heavy which I like.

The tree blocks are a favorite! Our two children have been having trouble sharing the 36 blocks between them so we ordered another set within 2 days! They integrate well with standard wooden blocks but those have been set aside for now as they aren't as fun as the tree blocks. Perfect for Waldorf play, inside or outdoors, and very clean (much better barkless than with the bark on which can get a bit messy). Honestly, we wish there were a larger size available.

We bought this as a birthday gift for my four year old. He really loved the blocks, he is playing with them so much we ordered two sets. They do shed a bit, but no splinters yet. I think these are a good buy as they will last a long time and they seem to hold my kids interest.
