Uberstix

I teach a High school physics class. The topic was mechanics.
This is the first year that I had the product, so I've haven't had a chance to develop ideas to usefully use the technology. One vision is to demonstrate the geometry of bridge construction.
Next year I'll have more ideas. The students were immediately interested in them. The trick is to come up with intriguing ideas that are also educational.
The product is plastic, but claimed to be "recycled" plastic and the intention is to use them indefinitely.

My son really loves Uberstix and his favorite part is Quarks. He builds with them constantly. I purchased these as a gift and was a little dismayed at how they were sent. They did not come in any type of box. I ordered what I thought was a ‘set’ of 500 quarks. I received four loose bags of 100 quarks. I called about the missing 100 and FatBrain quickly set them out. But they did not come in any type of bag. They were just rubber banded together in sets of ten. This is a very expensive building toy and they should be packaged better. The lack of packaging makes this very difficult to use as a gift.
