The game is very small which makes it very hard to play. It is a lot of fun to play, just difficult.

A Fun Twist on Operation

Overall my boys love this toy! It makes a fun dinosaur sound each time they touch the metal. I love how it incorporates questions with the game as well to test their dinosaur knowledge. We had to bend our metal pliers back into shape as they were bent but they are now working fine. Also, no storage compartment for the dinosaur bone pieces which would have been nice.
We like the game but it definitely lacks a little on quality.

Overall a fun toy! We like the facts about the dinosaurs. It is very sensitive to the tongs - not sure if that's a good or bad feature. Wish the base was a little more sturdy - heavy duty - so it stayed put better and didn't feel as flexible. We're enjoying it.

My 5 1/2 year old son really loves this game! It is very challenging for him and his parents to pick up the bones so he wants to play it over and over until he can get them all out. The questions are age-appropriate for him as well.

Dino Xcavator Combines a Classic Game with Dinosaurs

My six-year old boy loves this game because of the dinosaur theme, but my eight-year old daughter has lots of fun playing the game with her brother. A great twist on a classic game (Operation).

Fun, but Short Lifespan

We bought one of these and played the game like crazy. After losing interest for a few months, we brought it back out, only to find that it no longer worked. We liked it enough that we just had to buy it again!

The Dino Xcavator is a really fun game for dinosaur fans of all ages. My 5-yr. old daughter really loves it, and it's one of the few plastic toys we have in our home. Some of the pieces are really tiny and quite challenging for her to "excavate" but hopefully that will keep it interesting for her for a while.
