The product does work. The picture clarity is fine when the camera is stationary. We have Vizslas [dogs], a young one and an older one. With the young dog, every picture was nothing more than streaks of color on his walk. The older one doesn't run as fast or so much being 11 years old. We tried him next. Pretty much the same thing, all streaks of color. The only pictures that were really recognizable were from inside the car when I forgot to turn the camera off on the way home from the walk. I would say the dog has to be motionless for the camera to work best.

Cat Cam Rules!
Posted 10/23/2009 by melissa steffen kumpula

Rating:

It can be for any pet but we used it on our two cats. Neither cat seemed to mind it being on. A few pictures turned out blurry but not a big deal. I titled those 'Action Shots'. Overall it was very good. It was fun to see the pictures from the cat's point of view. I would recommend it for anyone who gets a kick out of their pets. I think people that don't have pets would think the pics were dull but I guess it's not made for them anyway. My sister will probably buy one next for her outside dog. They want to know what he does all day. It is extremely easy to use. Bottome line: I love it and would buy it again.

I loved the pictures!!! It was great to see the view of everything through my dog's eyes. We used it at a party and had a lot of laughs looking at all of the pictures. Especially all of the ones of the food tables!!

I love this camera. The quality of the pictures are so much better than expected. The outdoor pictures tend to be better than indoor. We have used the camera numerous times already and only got it 4 days ago. We've clipped it to her collar on walks, when she's gone on "playdates", and just hanging around the house. We also rigged it to take pictures of her while she was in her crate and we went to the grocery store. It was interesting to see that she barked when we first left, but slept most of the time we were gone. If you have the money and are a tiny bit obsessed with your pet (like I am).... I say go for it. Personally I think it is worth every penny.

This is a good gift for the dog-lover who already has everything. We gave it to my mom for Christmas, charged it up, and put it on the dog. As long as the dog is still when the photos are taken, they're clear and good. There were quite a few blurry ones of the flooring or walls as the dog ran around. I suspect it will be good for when Mom is gone and the dog is home alone. She'll be able to verify the paw-prints on the dining room table. Charging and downloading was a breeze on our Mac. Overall, quite funny and entertaining.

Two were ordered for gifts, both large Labrador Retrievers. Neither person had problems except for the subject matter that the dogs "chose" to take pictures of! (haha). They both said the pictures were fine and hope to get some good shots of the canine capers!

What a fun little camera! We put it on our cat Wheezer and anxiously waited to see what photos he would come back with. Since he isn't gone for long periods of time there was no fear of the battery running out. We have quite an interesting collection of photos now.

The item was not what I expected and I returned it. Too many variables such as collar style. The product did not appear to be of good quality.

This product lasted less than 24 hours, so my review is based on very limited use. My dog, at 20 pounds, is maybe a bit small for the product and it clearly irritated him. He tolerated it for the first evening, however, and the pictures were very easy to retrieve. They were of relatively low resolution and very dark. But I keep apartment dim in the evening and some of the black frames may have resulted from him actually lying on top of the camera. The pictures that did turn out showed a very interesting view of my place from his level. I had high hopes for the following day. When I got home, that evening, he wasn't wearing the camera. I finally located it where he'd attempted to "bury" it under a pillow on the couch. He had somehow managed to tear it off his collar and chew it to bloody ruin. He was even able to destroy the mini-USB port in the bottom of the device, making it impossible to retrieve any pictures the camera was able to take before it's untimely demise. My wife strongly suspects he was up to something he didn't want recorded. I think he just values his privacy.
I should note that my dog is very hard on his toys, despite his size. He regularly bites Kongs [heavy-duty hollow chew toys to fill with food] in half. With that in mind, I was very pleased at how well the camera weathered his attentions. While it was rather heinously mauled and rendered inoperable, the plastic case survived so he didn't end up ingesting any of the internal electronics.

Rating:

The toy is a lot of fun. The instructions warn to not get it wet. Right after I put it on one of my cats, he went to get a drink of water. Very little water was on/in it. It stopped working, so I ended up taking it apart and drying off a few tiny drops of water. It then worked. The outer lens in the case is somewhat easily scratched. Overall, I recommend it. It is a lot of fun to see where my cats are roaming.

I purchased this for my nine year old son to use for his science fair project. He found it easy to use and our dog was mostly cooperative. The only problem that we encountered was that if the pictures were not downloaded before the battery died, the pictures were lost.

Pet's Eye View Camera

I am having a lot of fun with my Pet's eye view camera. It is easy to use and I just connect it up to one of those digital picture frames and can view all the pictures. I have found out things about my whippet that I did not know. She has 3 fenced acreas and I found out that she hunts moles and even gets them. Althought the camera does not appear to be very hardy, it has so far stood up to the Western Washington spring weather- lots of rain. I would recommend this product to all pet lovers.

Pets Eye View

Setting: Home

I purchased the "Pets Eye View Camera" for my cat Darth. We had two cats, Charlie and Sylvester, go missing within a month of each other so this was purchased as a safety measure and to find out where Darth travels. It works great in the daytime. We have gotten alot of insight into what its like to be a cat! I am hoping you will come out with one that takes pictures at night when she does most of her traveling... The USB port cover does not stay in well so we tape it each time she wears it........Thankyou again for the great product!

Pet's Eye View Review

The teenager who received the Pet's Eye View Camera as a gift, as well as his brothers, have spent hours of giggling fun looking at the pictures taken by their puppy . . . from a different and credible perspective.
