Slightly Underdone but Still Delicious

This is only the second time we have tried a murder dinner but we had a blast. As host I was not one of the participants because we had an extra guest arrive so I simply served food and was often in the kitchen. I failed to notice that after dialogues, guests were waiting for me to advise then to continue reading the next half of the round in silence to themselves. For three of the guests who had never participated, they were confused since the others knew to read-on. Thre were also three occassions a prop was needed and the party planner book did not tell me this so some could ad-lib but others could not. This being said, those that had done this before managed to get the first timers through had by the second half of the second round, all were enjoying themselves.

Lovely!

This is definitely a great game to play with a select group of people. The 2 extra characters can be fun, but really don't add any depth and end up being quite irrelevent. Played with 6 people. This is definitely recommended.

Murder Mystery Dinner
Posted 1/14/2008 by Joyce R

Rating:

Easy planning ideas made this mystery dinner easy to put together, plan and enjoy. Step by step directions aide dinner menus. It also gave ideas for delivery foods to fit into the activities. Low stress on the hostess. If anything else is needed, perhaps background music; a list is enclosed.
I've enjoyed other murder mystery dinner games from this "game" company.

It was a great new and fun way to have friends over for dinner! The game is not too complex so you can have real conversations while trying to play your part and figure out who the murderer is. The meal recipes were great too!
