Sneak in some school!

I bought this game for my daughter's seventh birthday. We have not had too much luck with games -- aside from Candyland and Zingo (which are really for younger children), she doesn't have a good attention span when it comes to games. I played this game with her and her cousin (they both have just finished first grade), and they really enjoyed it! It is kind of like Trivial Pursuit for younger children. There are six levels of play, for kids from first to sixth grade. Most of the 1st grade questions they could answer correctly (and most of the 6th grade questions I could answer!), but there were a few that tripped them up -- which made for a pretty good challenge. Play went quickly, and the kids were happy to show off their knowledge! My only complaint was that the directions were a little unclear in places, but it did not disrupt play too much.

As a retired teacher and grandparent I was very impressed with the questions and how well they were geared toward the different ages. Our grandchildren, ages 5 to 10 played this a couple of times a day during Christmas weekend and were anxious to play it with their friends later in the week.

A "Smart" gift

I purchased one Smart game and that night my two grandchildren (boy 7 and girl 8) and I played it. They both liked it so much that my grandson begged to borrow it to take home. I gave it to him and told him that I would get another for my house...I not only got one for the house but bought another for my granddaughter and after they spent the night last night, we played it again today. It really promotes healthy competition using Brain power and is geared with questions to fit their grade level. I recommended this game to my sister for her 9 year old granddaughters and they love it. A good old fashioned board game that keeps the kids interest without all the electronic doodads.

This was a Christmas gift for the family, which includes a son who is 8 yrs, 2 months old, and a daughter who turned 6 last week. We have yet to use the board, because the two kids have been quizzing each other to see what grade level they can complete. Fun & interesting facts keep the adults engaged as well. It's a great to see the kids participate in such good-natured competition, and enjoy learning so much!
