Not our best purchase, this was purchased for a nearly 3 yr old, maybe they are too young.

Disappointed

This toy was listed among the top 10 best toys of 2011. I bought three of these for my grandchildren. The description of the brush states that if you draw a duck, it will quack. No matter what was drawn, it sounded like a squeaky door opening. A disappointing gift! My grandchildren lost interest. No matter what was drawn, the only sound the brush made was like a squeaky door or a geiger counter. A frog, rabbit, duck, bird all sound like a geiger counter.

It's a smart brush, but not that smart. To clarify: The Colorforms Brush makes a melody when it is used on paper. A firetruck drawing will not sound like a siren. A turkey will not gobble. On the upside - one cupcake and many kids will not result in lots of yelling. We provided our customer information on receiving a refund if desired. I bought this for my Grandson who may be a bit young for it. I think his older brother may use it a bit more. The adults had the most fun with it. I teach art lessons, and it would be fun to use once in a while in class.

It was too young for a 10-year-old, but she still enjoys
playing with it occasionally.

interesting idea, but a bit disappointing

Sounded like such an interesting concept, but ultimately my daughter doesn't love it. Paints are cheap and don't dissolve in water well enough to produce color, which is frustrating for a child.
