I rated this product low because shortly after my son opened the package and started to use the cube a piece fell off and then others pieces started to fall off. It became a mess. My son is not new to the Rubik's cube and it wasn't because he didn't know how to use it. He has even competed in two of the recent Rubik's competitions in southern CA. (Fat Brain Toys was exceptional in their customer service. The following morning after the cube broke, I called Fat Brain to inquire how to exchange or return the item. My son wanted to get another one. Fat Brain had another cube in stock and confirmed our mailing information to send out the new one. We are awaiting the arrival of the new cube.)

Cool looking but not functional

I would really play with this more but it is stiff and difficult to turn. It will not turn if its just a tiny bit out of alignment. The only reason gave it 2 stars is because it looks cool.
