Toy IQ
See also our Toy Value Index...
While we consider ourselves very good judges of what makes a great toy "great", our customers are the only TRUE experts! It's only from the hands-on experience of many, many children that a true perspective can be gained of a toy or game. That's where Fat Brain Toys is truly unique in the entire toy industry. While some companies have gathered a few hundred or a few thousand customer reviews, Fat Brain Toys has gathered OVER 60,000 honest product reviews from our customers!! But our customers don't provide us with a simple rating, they supply us with a variety of data that, when aggregated with the responses from many customers, paints a very clear picture of the products we sell.
As part of the product review process, we ask each customer to rate the product they purchased in each of 14 traits. These 14 traits were identified by Fat Brain Toys as those qualities that make up the ideal "Fat Brain Toy". In theory, a toy that is rated a five across 14 different traits will make a better toy than one that is rated a three across those same 14 traits.
We've overlaid this methodology across the common "intelligence quotient" to develop a sophisticated and reliable Toy IQ. The Fat Brain Toys Toy IQ can be used as a general gauge to either narrow your choices, validate a selection, or compare one product to another. While a low Toy IQ should not be an immediate indicator of a sub-standard product, it may warrant additional evaluation to make sure that it's the right item for your child. We hope you enjoy this Fat Brain Toys exclusive!
