Our five and six year old daughters really enjoyed making each marine creature. I had to sit with them initially for about a half hour, until they fully understood how to make each creature. After that they played for hours. It also encourages family participation.

My 5-year old recevied this toy one week ago and still spends at least an hour a day playing with it. There are endless combinations of animals to be made, so it is a great way for him to express his creativity. He had a friend over last week who played along with him for an hour too. The only hesitation would be if you have younger children in the house, as there are some tiny pieces that come off and can easily fall on the floor without much notice as you're doing the initial setup.

The Bloco building sets are great! My 6 year old son has other Bloco sets and loves them all! The set comes with instructions that are easy to follow. This is a fun and creative buliding set!
