Wonderful "first" science toy

I purchased this for my grandson's first birthday. Not only was it a hit with him, but his 2 yr old brother and 3 yr old sister were captivated as well. The pieces are just the right size for their hands and the bright colors attract their attention. The snap-on pieces that convert the magnets to animals fit snugly but not so tight that the toddlers can not get them off again. Since they are at the "throwing" stage, I loved the fact that the pieces have a softness to them. My grandson can safely use them for teething toys and they can all enjoy them during their bathtime. This is a toy that can be used for many years to come to teach a wide variety of concepts. I purchased the 8 pc Sea to complement the larger farm set that I had also purchased. I am hoping that the standard pieces will become available soon to add even more flexibility to their building possibilities. Well worth the money!
