Bought this "puzzle" for my 8 year old daughter because it looked like more interesting than anything I've seen at the store. The price of 15 dollars seemed a little low, so my expectations were not high.
I wouldn't exactly describe it as a "puzzle", I would describe it as an architectural model. It was full of lots of intricate pieces, but the instructions were very clear, and it was easy to assemble following the directions. It was easy to keep track of the pieces because they were die-cut on sheets of foam board, and you didn't punch out the pieces until you were ready to use them. The attention to detail was amazing. The finished product looks just like the original Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. The puzzle came with photographs and a story of the original castle, so the project was educational.
When I compare this product to other constructable toys, such as Legos, this product was much less expensive and looks like a replica of the original place. This toy is not something you would keep rebuilding. You build it once, and then you have the model. It would not be something you would take apart and build again like Legos.
We enjoyed building this toy together, and will likely purchase another puzzle of a different place. I would recommend this toy to kids who like constructable toys. It is a fun activity to do as a family with parents or grandparents.
