My son loves this educational toy. While playing with it myself, I found that the screen could be made "brighter". Just a little suggestion.

Very high quality toy, but a little difficult to use out of the box. It was a gift for a kid celebrating a 5th birthday and he loved it. It was the first toy he wanted to play with. There is a very wide range of difficulty level, which is fantastic for learning.

I bought this to help my 1st grader improve his speed on addition and subtraction facts. Both kids really like this. They pick it up on their own to play it. A couple of things could be improved. The screen is very dim and hard to read - for me, the kids don't seem to mind. It would be great if the add/subtract facts went to 12 family. Otherwise we are happy with it.

I love the Math Shark and would give it 5 stars if the LCD screen was a better quality. You have to play it under a very good light or you will not be able to see the numbers at all! Math Shark is an excellent tool for kids to improve their math scores and gain confidence. It rewards you with a green light and sound and my daughter just loves that. Fun as you learn and that's great!
PS. I also ordered a Mellisa and Doug pound a peg. It came with one support "leg" off but I was able to glue it back with wood glue. Just thought you should know. I think if it was just packed with protective paper or bubble wrap this could have been avoided. There was no protection for these toys in the box.
