I'm sorry, but I am planning to return the microscope. It looks great, and has all the right parts, but I was very disappointed in its ability to power in and focus well on specimens. I bought this for my 9 year old son, but I just don't think it does the job. I'm a nurse, and have used microscopes for a long time - I may buy one from an actual lab supply.

sometimes we are having problems with preparing specimen for viewing and at the beginning we couldn't get the light inside the microscope but once we got it started it warks for us pretty good.
