A meaningful toy for musical exposure, the Melody Snaily plays melodies (Lullaby, Old McDonald, etc.) when set accordingly.
As a child progresses, a button in the marked antennae changes Snaily from playing melodies, to making him a keyboard. Children play notes for fun and then progress to using the included color-coded music cards to play recognizable songs - all by themselves!

My granddaughter is just six mos. Her mother plays roll over/and push games with her. Everyone liked the fact that it is soft and it won't hurt you if you bang your head against it. Also, she liked the music/and the enclosed cards that came with it. They practiced the music using the colored notes on Snaily's back. The baby enjoyed it. It was nursery music and not unpleasant sounds that some toys have. As she matures,she can be initiated into following an action to create a melody and she loves music.

This was a for a gift, but we did put the batteries in and try it out. My girls and I thought it was fun to play the notes and I loved that there was a "song book."
