I bought this levitating globe as a gift for my husband, who has an office but not much in it. We both have always been intrigued by levitating gizmos and he works in the tech industry so I figured this metallic blue one with a silver base would be a great fit.
The globe and stand look very striking, and although both are plastic, they still look every bit as slick as the picture! I have no doubt that they'll prove plenty resilient enough for displaying in his office. The globe itself is fun to toss around and has a little give to it, so I don't worry that it will break or dent if dropped.
Getting it to levitate only took a few tries. It attached to the top magnet and I pulled downwards and you can feel a very abrupt buzzing/humming/vibrating when you hit the sweet spot. I also guided it in from the side. My husband was able to get it his first try.
Spins very easily with just a slight breeze on the edge, and also can be tapped and fiddled with gently without knocking it out of orbit.
Very very nice gadget and I am sorry that I won't get to see and play with it since it'll be at the office with my husband! I might have to buy another one for the living room!!!

It's great. It took a couple of practice runs for me to get it to levitate and rotate just the way I wanted, but then it was fine. I'd heard that some of these kinds of globes were very difficult to get to work right, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well this one did exactly what it was supposed to do.

This is a stunning addition to my office and captures the attention of almost everyone who walks in. The globe is beautiful, and it is nearly half the price of a similar product I was tempted to buy locally. The globe is at its best when it is gently spinning. My only suggestion for improvement is that it be a little less sensitive to attempts to spin it. Half of the people who admire the globe feel compelled to reach out and touch it to give it a spin, and unless you do it just right, the balance is thrown off. It takes a practiced, steady hand to set the globe back in the center of the magnetic field, something I invariably end up doing myself.

I looked at many levitating globes before buying this one. I think the blue and silver combination is a great sleek look. The person who received this gift loved everything about it. Great Buy!
