Gitti Giraffe’s neck is growing - right along with basic skills!
Your little one is learning colors, refining fine motor skills, and learning how to play a game with rules, while you are thinking to yourself.... this game is as sweet to have out on the table as it is fun to play! Gitti Giraffe’s neck gets longer and longer as the game progresses! Little hands roll him carefully from tree to tree to earn leaves.
Game Set Up
Put the two large tree pieces apart from each other on the playing space. Place nine foliage pieces on each tree. Place the color blocks on a stack to the side. Stack Gitti's head on his rolling body, (he won’t have a middle block for a neck).
Play Begins
The first player rolls the die. If “red” is rolled, a red block is selected from the block pile.
(If the white star side is rolled, the child chooses a block color of their choice.)
The child puts the red block between Giggi's head and wheeled body.
After Gitti is put together, the child rolls him gently to a tree.
If Gitti is rolled without toppling, the child selects a leafy foliage piece to keep.
The next player rolls the color die and play continues just as above…
With each player’s turn a color block is added to Gitti’s neck, and Gitti is then carefully rolled along to the other tree.
If Gitti topples in transit- then the child just puts him back together, BUT cannot collect a leafy foliage card to keep.
The player with the most leafy foliage cards when Gitti is a complete giraffe (sporting a very long neck) wins the game.
