"My son is very high strung, has no patience and is easily frustrated. Although this toy does have the ability to be unstable when actual building/creating is going on, I feel that because of this it forces my child to be gentle and take his time. Having an adult there to help hold pieces also works."

We bought this toy after our 21 month old wouldn't put it down at a play class. I love the toy because it has more than one purpose and can be used to improve fine motor skills and promote creativity. Right now (22 months), it's functions as a great toy for stacking in different ways (fine motor skills) -- similar to play with blocks, but kids learn about size relationships, because the pieces have to go somewhat in order of size to sit on one another. Later, it can be used more creatively to turn pieces on their side and really build and explore all of the potential configurations and building options. I'm looking forward to my kids playing with this toy for quite a while.

These were a birthday gift for my 2 year old, but all,of my children (ages 4, 6, 8) have been playing with them. They are part puzzle, part building block and the kids have been having fun configuring them different ways. Plus, they are easy to store as they come in a nifty little storage bin.

I am a preschool teacher. All of our kids, from ages 2+ to 5, love the Wedgits! There is no "right" or "wrong" way to play with them, and the complexity of the play varies with age. I have a couple of 3 year olds on my Christmas list this year, and I'm confident they will love their Wedgits, too!

I have three children in the age range to play with this toy. Four, if you count Daddy. They love it! The only wish I have for this toy is that we had purchased one for everyone. I love that they are learning about shapes, relationships, and balance while they are having fun.
