Say Goodbye to Paper, And Hello to A Greener World!
Boogie Board Paperless LCD Writing Tablets are an environmentally-friendly, cost-effective paper replacement. With each button push of the Boogie Board tablet, a piece of paper is saved. More paper saved means less trees need to be cut down. Together we can reduce our global consumption of paper and the demand for it.
The original Boogie Board tablet that started a revolution. LCD screen is 8.5 inches, ultra light (4 oz.) and thin (1/8 inch). One just isn’t enough. Get one for on the go, in the office and multiple places around the house. Almost anywhere you’d keep memo pads, sticky notes or scrap paper.
Erase your image with the touch of a button – and a friendly flash from the liquid crystal display – COOL!
Sealed 3V watch battery never needs replacing.
The Boogie Board tablet is an ultra 1/8 inch thin and is easy to take with you in a purse, scheduler, briefcase or backpack.
The case and LCD are made from durable plastic materials. Safe for school use & all around the house, office & car.
The Boogie Board tablet’s pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push – just like paper and pen!
Write or draw with the included stainless steel stylus or any other suitable instrument – even your finger! You’ll never need to search for a pen or pencil again! All tablets write in gray.
Dimensions of board: 8.8 x 5.6 x 1.5 inches
Please Note: Boogie Boards are pressure sensitive. Writing with more pressure creates darker lines.

As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.

 |
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 0 years of age.

Identified Special Needs Challenges:
Aspergers,
Autism
"I think this is a great item for kiddos with autism who struggle with fine motor skills. It allows them to write as big or wacky as they like and erase in a flash. My kid can get stuck on erasing or frustrated at having to get more scratch paper, so it's nice to dispense with those distractions. I do think the stylus might be tricky for some kids, so it might be worth it to look at finding a different, larger stylus. However, they can write with their finger, if they are inclined, and the board is pretty durable so they can use a lot of pressure and not do damage. "
"I gave one to each of my daughters. I was hoping it would promote reading and writing for the older one (age 7) who is having trouble learing to read. So far it appears to help with that. But I was surprised at the benefit to my younger daughter (age 5) who is advanced but has a perfectionism issue which causes her to refuse to try a task if she doesn't think she can do it perfectly. The Boogie Board seemed to take the pressure off for her because everything on it gets erased so she was more willing to engage and try multiple times without getting frustrated."
Identified Special Needs Challenges:
ADD/ADHD
"Our Grandson was thrilled to show us how he has learned his alphabet & numbers. It was important for him to share this on this high tech item that he could erase quickly erase & start over if he made a mistake. It encouraged him to get it right since he could not just erase one item at a time, which he did try to do with his finger at first."
Identified Special Needs Challenges:
ADD/ADHD,
Autism,
Developmental Delay,
Learning Disabilities
"Lots of instructions weren't needed, built sturdy. The child can play at own pace."

"I got this toy so that my brother could draw and not make a mess. He is able to do that with this, but he really didn't connect with this toy the way he has with other toys such as the Latches Board. I think the toys for autistic children need to be simple, brightly colored, but have some specific goal that can be attained. Opening and shutting, fitting pieces within one another, etc."

The only thing that would improve this tablet is to include the case with it. I think that it is just a bit pricey for the writing tablet by itself, but my daughter loves it.

Great way to practice spelling words. We use it to leave notes for one another which promotes reading and writing skills. Good doodle pad for the car.

Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet

My 4 year-old grand daughter loves "writing" and drawing on the board and making the writing disappear with the push of a button. The LCD board is very thin and I worry that it isn't durable. I predict this will become a great toy for traveling and become more loved with use.
