The LARVA has landed.
The freakish Hexbug you've been waiting for has just slithered in.
Somewhat resembling jelly sliding down the surface of a refrigerator in the way it moves, only much, much more gag-inducing and disturbing. Hexbug Larva wriggles in oddly slow, rhythmic and flexing motion across a flat surface.
HexBug Larva is creepy. Incredibly creepy. Slow. Methodic. Calculated. Lurking.
It trips the heartbeat. It chills the spine. Even dogs run away.
HexBug Larvae moves just like real larve, head leading, tail wriggling it forward, even instinctively changing direction when it senses an object in its path. Strangely, this behavior is irresistible to interact with.
Even if you're more than a little repulsed, the robotic creatures are so cool that it's impossible not to like them - even if you're squeamish.
The Larva is programmed with an optical sensor in its front to prevent itself from running into obstacles. When the sensor detects something ahead, the Larva turns, then moves forward again. In this way, it is similar to the original Hexbug, but it moves in a more disturbing, organic way.

My grandson loves Hex bugs, he thinks the larva is really cool.
Too large to use in the arena

My son picked this out, along with a couple other HexBug toys. We didn't realize how large it was. It does not fit in the arena, and therefore cannot be battled against other HexBugs. On top of that, something in the wheel broke, and it stops working on occasion due to that lose part. We have not had the opportunity to open it up to try to fix it.

Yes, this Hexbug is too big for the Nano habitats. It will not fit. No way, no how. Larva lethargy isn't as predictable. Our customer was provided a gift certificate. Please visit the Returns & Exchanges center to wiggle in on the details.
