This is a great starter rhythm instrument toy for baby that doesn't involve any pointy sticks or annoying electronic enhancement. Just shakers with interesting aural and tactile feedback and which are easy for him to hold and shake without the need for coordination. Simple. My son is 13 months old and is getting more interested in these in the last month.

I have 3 grandsons. My 11 month old was given this music maker as a gift. He will hold one in each hand. His two brothers, 2 and 4 years old will also hold one. They like to shake them at the same time. Each one has a handle which makes it easy to hold. The four separate shakers snap together. You can use one, two, three or four at a time.
