Return of the 1970s classic toy "Romper Stompers." Steppers have long been a great toy for kids to improve balance and coordination.
This durable Stepper set is a modern take on this classic toy. The sharp edges, rust issues and stability problems of home-made “can steppers” are eliminated by molding our own design with a flared base and anti-slip top textures.
High quality braided polypropylene line is used for the handles to ensure durability and a good grip for little hands.
For ages 5 up to Adults
Each set comes with two stepper bases and braided line.
As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 5 years of age.

"This product would be great for younger children with spatial difficulties, autism, or physical issues, as it encourages independence and proper balance. If it were re-designed to have longer ropes it would be excellent for older and taller children as well."

"I have purchased many Steppers previously to use with my special needs classes. It is a wonderful tool for increasing gross motor skills and balance. Physical assistance can be provided by standing behind the child and it can be reduced as the child gains more skill. I also teach the students to pull the cord back through the stepper and place it into the stepper. They do this for both steppers and then put the two together. The whole process is increasing many skills (e.g. following directions, fine and gross motor skills, motor planning). One of the coolest things is that when my students are using the steppers, all of their typically developing peers see them 'having fun' and want to be in 'their class'. It is such a great therapy tool as well as a great reinforcer for doing "seat work" which isn't always the preferred activity."

"Williams Syndrome. My 7 year old with WS is very unstable on her feet, let alone on Steppers. This is a fun way for her to build her strength, balance, confidence and coordination. "

"I purchased this product to help my child with the development of gross motor skills and depth perception. She also is a hyperactive child with a short attention span. Using these helped to expend a lot more energy than just her typical circling around the house. They also engage her thought processes and help her to focus on several tasks at once while she is walking on them (i.e., focusing on feet while pulling the ropes to help walk around)."

My daughter was super excited to receive the stepper as an end-of-school gift. She played with it for quite a while when she first got it. It is sturdy. It holds my weight too!
This toy was purchased for a 4 yr birthday gift for a girl. She will be entering 4 yr old kindergarten this fall and I felt this would help her with balance and coordination, two things we have found many young children lacking as they enter school. Fortunately she is quite a daredevil and will master this soon. She seemed to enjoy the challenge and the attention she got. All in all a satisfactory response to a birthday gift. Thank you.
Was the first toy she decided to try. It took quite a bit of time to decide how to best use it. Grabbing down on the straps it allowed her to better control the steppers. You need to wear at least some shoes or it hurts the kids feet.
