Kapla
As a child, Kapla designer Tom van der Bruggen dreamed of building a castle. At twenty he moved from Holland to France to pursue his dream - he bought the ruins of a farm, took it apart piece by piece, and from it built a stone castle.
In the process of designing his castle he invented Kapla Blocks - a basic open-ended building unit that could easily be built and rebuilt into different designs. Kapla blocks' proportions are based on the elementary progression of odd numbers: one, three, five. This single module can create an unlimited number of structures such as bridges, walls, domes, cathedrals, villages, bugs and animals.
Why do we love Kapla wooden toys... take a closer peek at their potential and the images of Kapla creations. Kapla blocks help develop children's manipulative skills, sense of balance, concentration ability and creative spirit. They are simple. They are timeless. Kapla building blocks can be used to work wonders.
